Scout Activities February-March
(In order that I not spam the back room, if anyone else wants to plan an event/badge session, I suggest putting them in this post?)
For clarification, your pups can find the Badge Book in the Scout Hut (which is currently in the forge). OOC, it's now pinned at the top of Bonnie's journal.
Upcoming Scout Events
1. Poultry Keeping: Bonnie is looking for people who would like to rear a baby chicken and learn how to look after chickens, starting beginning of February.
IC requirements: Age 8 or over unless accompanied by an adult. Would need to be around the bar regularly for February (or able to nominate someone to cover) as the chickens need feeding twice daily on a rota basis.
If your pup wishes to keep their chicken at the end, they need to either commit to looking after them long term at the bar or take it home. Any unclaimed chickens will go home with Bonnie at the end of the task.
If you want the badge make sure you read the task requirements in the link.
IC SIGN UP HERE.
OOC commitment: None to as much as you want. So long as you sign up, I'll assume you're doing it. There will be an initial post you can tag into with the chicks arriving and a post for making the coop but neither are mandatory.
2. Teja will be looking for over 16s who want to learn how to make charcoal. This will take place during February some time after Mardi Gras.
IC requirements: Pup strong enough to do a hard day's work, sensible enough not to set self on fire.
OOC commitment: One party post :)
Possibly future ideas if interest
- Building actual scout hut (pending mod approval)
- First aid course (still open to everyone but with badge curriculum covered)
