"Really? Really?" The armored man shakes his head. "Look, we both know you can't play me here unless you do some serious gyrations to keep people from realizing which world I'm from- or unless you bring me in well after 2077. I'm not a possible here. Not to mention you still have the wrong PB for me."

"Sorry, Captain. I had to try."

"Seriously? I go out for a glass of water, and this is what I find? I guess the universe really doesn't want me to do any work today, what with the eclipse this morning, and now this..."

So says the 20-something male who's just stepped in.

"Yes well, at least you've done some planning for the next steps, even if you have missed that equinox deadline you'd set yourself."

A mild mannered, middle-aged man walks in with an empty mug which reads, "Keep Calm and Caffeinate".

Realizing where he is, he murmurs, "Oh shit," while looking to see if any of his pups are going to glare at him for flaking.

"I know that look. Don't worry, you haven't been flaking for, oh, nearly a year, the way I have."

"Don't worry about," Quin says dropping a heavy hand on his mun's shoulder. "We understand. Things get in the way; life, work, the urge to write, new holos or books, playlists. We're good, really. Though you are leaving Ibani hanging."

Ro aka Anna tows her book into the air, "Why am I reading this? "

The book is called Europe's Inner Demons, and it with its yellow battered cover fall to the floor.

Munnin has coffee and more than enough to share. She likewise keeping an eye out. "If you see Jay come in, warn me."

There's a very tall, angular man crouched by the fireplace, sharpening the blade of an axe with a stone. The firelight accentuates his weathered face, his eyes ringed with black ink, a spidery line streaking down over each of his cheekbones.

It figures that his mun would take a break from playing one pup who wears guyliner just to play another.

She is trying not to stare too obviously.

It's a Viking. With eyeliner.
It's hard to not at least glance his way once in a while.

Her own eyeliner is dark brown. And somewhat less messy.
Blue eyes. Dark blond hair.

"You know we were just taking about your kind in class last night," said a larger girl in a bright dress and tights, "I am Ro."

"At least this has finally happened when I have the day off work, for once..."

"Not too shabby. Got anything lined up for the day?"

A woman in her late thirties with a messy bun, a budding cold, a pale of work-related papers in her arms, and a tote hanging from one shoulder, enters, stops, looks back, and then heads straight to the couch.

Time stops on the other side, right? So nobody will be able to murder their sibling while she gets a nice, hot cup of tea with honey, right?

Right.

Ro is sitting near with a book open. She looks up,"Mun?"

A woman in a pink turtleneck curls up with her laptop and a mug of tea near the fire, "I needed this today. Its pouring rain and I've spent the day with middle school students who rock but tiring."

I wish we had rain over in my neck of the woods.

[munnin]

"Hey you." Munnin calls, unplugged her headphones to the bounce of Australian hip-hop and shifting an armful of packing supplies.

Ibani blinks as the sudden wave of out of character knowledge hits her. "I am NOT AMUSED by what you have planned 'mun', even if most of it IS canon."

Perhaps I could convince my writer that my hiring you for a bounty job could pass the time better.

I am not so certain I condone his plans for me, to be honest.

A larger woman wearing a flowered dress that reached to her knees, a pair of teal leggings, all black Converse shoes, and a grey hood with UNM and a wolf printed over the left breastfeeding entered from a door. Beyond the door the day was grey and the air that followed her was cool but not cold. The sound of cars filtered in. On her back a black backpack hung and her ears are covered with a pair of wireless headohones.

She stopped at the sight before her, grinned and continued to enter. The thoughts in he mind were centered on getting cat litter and cat food. On entering the thoughts change to relief and excitement. She tried to contain this excitement as she touched one of the ear pieces of her head phones to stop her audio book and pulled them down to hang around her neck.

A scruffy looking fellow in faded blue jeans and a worn leather jacket flops into a chair by the fireplace and scrubs at this face. Building hope is a hard job.

[annalalaith]

There is woman sitting by the fire as well with a spindle and white wool. She is making yarn, and every once in a while the wool thins enough to break, which results in some cursing from the woman. Then she continues with her spinning, after attaching new roving, and stopping from time to time to drink some coffee from a mug that has cooled now.

[munnin]

Munnin falls through the door in a minor avalanche of boxes and books, her glasses askew and her oversized geek tee flapping. "Bugger!"

Anna/Ro enters through her own door. The sound of the Munster's theme song can be heard and a stripped cat rushes through and then halts when he sees where he is. She is wearing a pair of bright teal tights a shirt with a zombie and the words, "Welcome to Atlanta There's no Place Like it!" and black socks. In on hand is cup of tea.

"Need some help?" she asked offering a hand to Munnin. The cat meows at her trying to get her to pick him up.

Batya is sitting at a table in the corner with a large mug of hot chocolate.

... Well, for some value of "sitting" that means "snoring contentedly with her head on her arms". It's anyone's guess whether that hot chocolate is still hot.
