"Yes," Autor says, glancing down to his carpet. "It's one of my favorite states to be in, hovering. Would you like a ride?"

She stares for a long moment. Actually, no, she woges, but since he doesn't echo the gesture, the idea that he might be a Wesen as well is put aside.

This is all very, very strange.

"That sounds like something out of a particularly disturbing fairy-tale."

[herr_bookman]

Autor laughs, short and sharp. "Does it? I can guarantee that I have no interest in your first born," he says, barely able to keep the sardonic tone out of his voice. He shuts his book and floats closer to her so that she can inspect the carpet. "It's perfectly safe. You never know when you'll get another offer to ride on a flying carpet, you know?"

He inclines his head. "But let me introduce myself first, so it's a less seedy deal. I am Autor, a simple music student, not a wizard or any other type of magical person."

"A simple music student with a flying carpet." Rosalee sums up, packing worlds of healthy skepticism in that one sentence. "You have to admit, that sounds unlikely."

[herr_bookman]

"It does, doesn't it?" he says, cocking his head at her and resting his hands in his lap. "And even more unlikely is the fact that I bought it off of a moon."

"You do know that the more unlikely the story, the less likely it is I'm going to risk riding on that with you?" Rosalee asks, just in cases he thought she was the type to be a crazy risk taker.

Autor considers this, and nods once. "That's fair. Carpets aren't for everyone, and we did just meet each other. I don't even know your name."

[foxy_woman]

"Oh, I'm Rosalee. I... run the spice shop that really should be right here." She sounds bewildered - mostly because she is.

[herr_bookman]

"Ah, yes, that happens," Autor says, and floats over to the bar to pick up a guide. "This is Milliways, as I've said, and this here is Bar. She's very kind, somewhat maternal, and can conjure up most items the universe has to offer, bar living things."

He floats back to Rosalee and offers her a guide. "This is a brief overview of the bar."
