"It's not Outworld. However much this place confuses you, it's not Outworld." Sonya was going to take that for what it was and be fucking grateful for it.

"Come on, this place has rooms above the main Bar. There's a fund for those who're bound, so you don't need to worry about paying room and board unless you want to."

"That's one thing going for it, then."

She nods.

"Not that this place doesn't look nice and all, but I don't think I'm ready to pay for the privilege of getting abducted. 'Sides, I don't trust 'em not to gouge me for who my dad is."

"Truth be told, I don't think many have heard of Johnny Cage here. Different realities I think." Though she wondered if for Johnny that would be an even worse fate. The man's ego was so large after all, it needed to be fed. "So you may have a break in that direction."

Though the mention that Cassie got grief for being the daughter of a celebrity, Sonya felt genuinely sorry for it. Bad enough people thought she got into the Special forces because of her dad's influence, that was probably worse.

She lead her inside, going past the downstairs doorway, the kitchen and to the main bar once more. "Ms. Bar, could Cassie have the keys to her room, please?"

"The Bar seemed to be able to find my reality just fine. I'm not getting my hopes up."

She looks down at her bag.

"Think I'll head back out to the range for now. It'd do me some good to shoot this out."

"Yeah, she doesn't really discriminate." Hell, she'd met enough people to know that. "You'll find people from all centuries, some won't agree with your choice of career, or think you a freak for it." She thought back to Javert and Cosette.

"Just ask Bar to send your bag to your room. She can do that." So long as it was there, she can switch it around.

"Suppose I'll see you around, then?" Oh, this didn't feel awkward at all.

"Uh...yeah. I guess I will."

Nope. Not awkward in the slightest.

"I'll keep all that in mind."

Sonya just about stopped herself from giving her a salute. Besides the fact that Cassie was an NCO, they weren't even on a military base here: Sonya made it a matter of duty to separate 'milliways' from 'work duty'.

Instead she just gave her a head nod. Watching her leave through the doorway before going for a much needed shower.
