DE: Inny or Outty

Using the definition that introverts are energized by solitude and extroverts by being among others, is your pup an introvert or extrovert?

I think Rollo needs to meet Naruto.

Naruto is such a dork, that I think him and the Vikings should get along pretty well.

Zelgadiss is very much an introvert, but would argue that any sane person would be worn out by being around Lina Inverse too long.

Yrael is a strange case, and I don't know which he would count as. Whether he gains energy from solitude or by being among others really depends on the context, especially who the other people are. His mental focus is on himself and his own experience, not that of others, but he seeks out others to avoid loneliness and boredom.

Sunshine is probably an ambivert. She loves being around others, and seeks out company, but needs time each day to retreat and be alone with herself to recharge. Her mental focus varies in focus from her own experiences and feelings to those of others.

Thor: hahaha. Definitely an extrovert! Textbook definition and stereotype, exactly what you'd think of when you think extrovert.

Enjolras: Also an extrovert, but a reserved one. He doesn't talk a ton, but he'd rather be around people than not; he's energized by being in the middle of a crowded room or crowded street with conversations happening all around.

Cosette: Chatty and social, but something of an introvert nonetheless, I think.

Kazul: What a good question. Hmmm. Somewhere in the middle, really, I think; she doesn't come down hard on either side of the spectrum. I'd nudge it towards the introvert side if I had to pick one, but she's willing to spend a lot of time with people she actually likes.

River: Such an extrovert.

Regan: Ditto.

Trowa: Absolutely an introvert. He can find his own solitude being ignored in a crowd if he needs to, though.

Clare: It's a little hard to say because a lot of her generally solitary social experience is shaped by things outside her control, but I'm still gonna come down on the side of declaring her pretty introverted.

(And it's interesting to me that I have so many extroverts, because I am absolutely an introvert! I like people, and I can go into Chatty Social Mode and fake extroversion pretty well for a while, but then I have to go hide from human interaction in a way half of my characters would not understaaaand.)

X is an extrovert. Who here is surprised? Who? (I was, when I first started, but it makes a lot of sense, so here we are!)

Ysalwen is an extrovert.

Raven is an extrovert.

Dean is an introvert who is very good at appearing extroverted.

Galadan is an introvert.

If Michael were a human and not an angel she'd be an introvert, but as her entire purpose is to deal with people she is an extrovert.

Wonder Woman, I think, depends a little bit on how she's written, but generally I think of her as extroverted.

Raven is just Trouble.

.... I play about half and half! Weirdly, as I am the most introverted person most of my friends know (even though I worked a patented Extrovert Job).

Darcy: Introvert! She likes being around people, but only if she has an escape route. And she needs to escape pretty frequently.

Melinda May: Mildly introverted. She doesn't like having to deal with people's issues, mostly because she knows her own flaws (she wants to fix people's issues! she's so good at it!), but just being around people doesn't wear her out for quite awhile.

Quatre: He'd be an extrovert except he always goes waaaay over the top around anyone who is not strongly trusted or family, thus wearing himself out. But his family ~50 people, and he can feel relaxed and happy around all of them together 95+% of the time. So, yeah, extrovert.

Legolas: Introvert! He adores people! He just would happily spend six months by himself running around forests, and gets very sulky when he has to be around people long at all. I UNDERSTAND YOU LEGOLAS. LETS GO ON A ROADTRIP AND NEVER TALK.

Chuck: Extrovert, just way too awkward to take advantage of it in Milliways. He's good at Jaegers, okay? He'll stick with Jaegers. (At home he had huge crews of Jaeger mechanics to chill with.)

Clint: Mildly extroverted. He feels a lot better when he can spend ~70-90% of his time around people. Not necessarily socializing, just... around.

If I've forgotten anyone please mention!

Chuck and Enjolras should totally hang out being nerds more often. (Possibly handwavily offscreen, given schedules, but still!)

Merlin: Introvert.

Cecil Palmer: SUCH an extrovert.

Groot: Introvert. Trees are not known for their socialization skills.

Jack Benjamin: Extrovert by necessity, introvert by nature. His twin Michelle is really more of a people-person.

Steve Rogers: A deeply private extrovert.

Sadie Parker Doyle: Introvert. She likes about three people in the entire world.

Will Scarlett: Extrovert, he's happiest among people.

Charles is about half and half since its easy for him to get lost in thoughts and being around people helps him feel connected but he also needs to disconnect. His version of recharging in being in a space where he can let thoughts wash over him and he doesn't have to pay attention but can if he wants to. That's why he likes Milliways, it doesn't have the same amount of responsibility as the mansion so he can be around people but doesn't have to focus on how everyone's doing.

Quentin is a I think a quiet extrovert, he likes being in the midst of people and what's going on but doesn't need to be loudly participating. A lot of that is his training but it matches his personality.

Sameth is an introvert who is bad at pretending to be an extrovert but has to be one sometimes. He hates State Dinners and prefers his work to people.

William is an introvert who gets lonely and likes reading around people, that suits him.

Moist is a complete extrovert who uses his extrovertness to his own benefit.

Jane is an extrovert who needs writing time to process what she observes.

Ivan is an extrovert, huge one though a quieter one compared to Miles or their versions of being involved are different. Ivan's kind of like Quentin, he's happy to be floating among the party with lots of small conversations while Miles tends to be in the middle with everything swirling around him.

Demeter is an extrovert, the way she deals with Kore going back to Hades is to wander around Europe and spend time with people she knows and doesn't.

Tumnus is an introvert.

Dejah is an introvert, believe it or not. She loves being among people, loves teaching, loves working with her research staff. She loves walking the marketplace in Helium, even though it means being inundated with people who want her attention. She loves being available, accessible to the people she governs.

But man, at the end of the day, she loves nothing more than a pot of tea and a good book. Sometimes, she even foregoes the book.

Jemma is an introvert, but she's learned to fake extrovert qualities when she has to be part of larger groups. It's awfully tiring though.

Katya is, by definition, a massive extrovert. >.> I think she has some introvert tendencies though, separate from her Otherness (house WAY out in the country with attack dogs? Just a bit, yes.)

Glorfindel is an extrovert, always has been.

Blakeney... is on the extrovert side, but not a strong one. He needs his time away from the crew (which is why he likes hanging out on deck watching the stars or with Dr. Maturin drawing bugs).

Oswin is an extrovert. Thus, her isolationist tendencies are not the best for her in the long run. *eyes her*

aaand I left this screen open and never posted it. WIN.

Gene - the very definition of extrovert, at least in the 70s.

Javert - hmmm. He keeps himself apart from everyone personally, but he's also always around people when he's working and he works most of the time. Work energises him. Plus, he has no problem spouting his thoughts at length, and at anyone he pleases, and canon mostly supports the notion that he has little internal mental activity going on. So by the definition above, I'll lean towards extrovert.

Valjean - definition of introvert.

Banner - introvert

Wayne - introvert

Courfeyrac - wildly extrovert

Pearly - extrovert, though it's not other people that energises him. He's powered by being crazy.

Moriarty - probably same as Pearly, actually. People bore him, but interacting with them for work gets him going. But he's mainly energised by being mental too. Anything could set him off.

All of them are major extroverts!
