Hello all, new pup here. It occurred to me just now that it would be prudent to mention that in Izana's canon the Earth has been destroyed. From their POV this happened over a millennia ago and so they will likely be casual about mentioning it, or referring to Earth in the past tense.
Since this can be very upsetting to some pups, I thought I should put this notice here and give you a chance to say, "Please don't mention this to my pup" or "Don't tag my pup just in case because that info would break them".
Izana is socially astute enough to pick up how this info affects others, so I imagine they will likely only make this mistake once or twice before being more cautious.
ETA: Since a couple of people have asked, both Izana and I are fine with folks mistaking their gender and I have added a note to their profile to this effect. We are also okay with folks mistaking their family name and given name if such occurs.

First of all, I appreciate how you're handling Izana's gender identity! I just wanted to check and see how you yourself feel about other characters being confused by it. I'm not sure I'd tag with any who are, since it could bother *me* to have to deal with them not getting it, but I definitely don't want to upset or trigger you. If it helps, I don't think any of mine would be actively rotten about it, but most of them would either narratively wonder, assume a binary gender based on their own biases, or (in the case of Chuck) actively ask possibly somewhat belligerently.
Also we should thread at some point! :) If nothing else, Legolas will cheerfully fail to realize he's supposed to be guessing a gender. He's from a small enough people group that he knows everyone in it, and thus identifies people pretty much solely by Being [Whatever Their Name Is], haha. His only gender concept is "women bake bread, idek".

As to mistaking their gender, go for it! Canon is even helpful with this point and they are pretty casual about it. In one case, they explained things when the other person was confused and the other when they were given free drinks "for being such a cute girl".
