So with mod-approval, as of this OOM, Will Graham's seven dogs are wandering around the grounds and bar. What does this mean for you? Pretty much nothing, other than that if you'd ever like your character to be able to pet/play with a dog in the bar, they can now pet or play with these dogs! There are just a few notes about this:

- Well, first, these (gif warning) are the seven dogs. We know that the one at the bottom left is named Winston, and second from the top on the right is called Buster. I have headcanon names for the others, but as that's super easy for canon to contradict on me, I'll leave them out for now. (Though okay, I can safely say that the little one with the teeth in the second from the bottom on the left is named Louie, as he's no longer technically in the show. But I pretend he is!)

- The dogs are all very friendly and generally well-trained. The only time they would be aggressive is if anyone is aggressive toward them. So if you'd like to play with them, please just keep the interactions friendly!

- They all have collars with tags identifying "Will Graham" as their owner. While they may wander off on their own, they will always return to their pack – so if someone tried to adopt one out from them, the dog would eventually just run off to the pack again.

- They won't lead anyone to wherever Will is at the moment. He has them and the Bar and me on his side, so, he's going to be out of sight until otherwise indicated.

- If seeing these dogs would somehow make your character worried/concerned for them or Will enough for it to be an issue, I'd just say that it'd be best for the character to not run into them. It's a big bar/grounds! They don't ever have to be around you.

So yes, the gist of this is – there are dogs! They are good dogs, and act as friendly dogs typically do. You can pet them and play with them if you like. If you have any questions please let me know (though as I am the worst... please let me know very, very quickly).

Do you as the mun object to Hannibal having some of the dogs around on occasion, as they are Will's dogs, and their presence in Milliways means most likely that Will has gone to his canonical fate, of which Hannibal doesn't yet know the outcome?

As Winston seems to be the almost preternaturally wise one that refused to eat Mason Verger's face, I suppose the dogs Hannibal would be seen with would be Buster and Louie -- Hannibal of course knows all the dogs' names, so I can't let him be in an EP or a thread with dogs that people might ask the name of.

I don't have any problem with Hannibal interacting with the dogs, they'll be as friendly toward him as they would toward anyone else (even Winston) absent any aggression or danger. The only thing is that they wouldn't be willing to be taken into anyone's custody, so to speak - they're perfectly self-reliant in the bar, and as Will is also there in a ... nebulous way, they're going to stay amongst each other and him and won't be adopted in by anyone else. So feeding/petting/etc. is fine! It's just trying to take them in or something where they'll be like, nope, we don't need that.

I figured someone could just say "[X character] calls the dog" or "says the dog's name." Though I guess... I don't know, I'll leave my headcanon names for them here and if anyone uses them and we get contradicted later we can just handwave it, it's not a big deal to me:

Border collie-looking dog: Miranda
Large white dog: Jackson
Large brown dog: Dixon
Small fuzzy dog: Hedy

Hannibal's never going to be aggressive or dangerous towards the dogs! He can be vague about the others' names, then, saying "I think that one is Miranda" or something along those lines -- we'll be fine that way!

He exists into canon with the third or fourth episode of the new season, anyway -- as soon as canon found its bearing, and I know where up is yet.

I mean really, I totally trust you in playing them! And they're pretty much just nice dogs. But regardless, dont worry about anything on my end, I'm sure anything you'd do is fine.

... I mean maybe no feeding them someone's face again but whatever.

Hannibal isn't going to feed them anybody's face. I have mean things planned for him to do in Milliways, but that won't involve face-feeding, merely getting somebody to their own door...
