So many feelings. At first, she was fiercely protective, but that was soon joined by genuine affection, and no small amount of fascination. He confuses her terribly with this brusque exterior that conceals a profoundly gentle soul. She can see clearly the marks violence and cruelty have left on him. (So much like John in that instance.) She feels like having an arm again will only be the first small step towards healing his wounds. And somewhere along the line, she became thoroughly smitten with him. That confuses her, too. Basically, if she can't science something, she'd rather hit it with swords. (She's good at diplomacy, she just hates it.)

Basically, he makes her feel all thumbs and butterflies.

Jemma is so terribly glad she's met Elrond. Beyond the whole 'omfg he's an elf he's like the elf' fangirlish tendencies she does her damnedest to squash, he's as kind as advertised, and actually seems to find what she does interesting, and has never ever spoken down to her. It's glorious.

Jemma has never met Thor, and probably never will, and this is probably a Very Good Thing, but... I'll just put down the same sort of half-unwilling attraction that it seems most of the SHIELD ladies (and probably a fair few of the SHIELD men) feel and a low-grade terror that most things Asgardian inspire after the attack on NYC and a fair bit of annoyance, but that has more to do with Asgard and its policy of couching everything in magical mystical terms when really it's just science.

...Look, can we take Enjolras's enthusiastic paeans to his friends who are among the smartest and best and most honorable and valiant men anyone could be privileged enough to know as read, or do you want me to actually type the full thing out? BECAUSE I CAN.

Edit: Okay, upon reflection, here's a more behind-the-fourth-wall view with less rhetoric! (Part of the trouble with writing out a full oratorical paean is that the exact phrasing depends on the audience, although obviously the OMG THIS GUY'S THE BESTEST is a constant.)

Enjolras thinks that Prouvaire is an amazing person, with a very deep well of humanity and compassion. He doesn't understand how Jehan's mind works in a lot of ways, which makes him endlessly baffling in some ways and also a really great person to talk to, because even when they agree it's from very different perspectives. And when they disagree, Prouvaire's points are usually worth considering. Enjolras has a ton of respect for him, even in the most disconcerting "uh... you do you, I guess!" moments.

(Thor doesn't know Prouvaire all that well yet, but he seems pretty cool! Dorky scholar skald whom Bahorel vouches for, thumbs up.)

Enjolras obviously has a ton of respect for Combeferre too, and thinks that he's amazing, his brain and wide-ranging interests are astonishing, etc etc. He really respects that Combeferre is someone who sets himself to help people as a doctor, too -- i.e. in a way that's really necessary and hands-on and immediate and meaningful, and also really emotionally hard -- at the same time as the revolutionary work, which is obviously very meaningful work to them both but has more abstract goals and an eye always on the future; Combeferre grounds himself, and grounds his friends too. (Read: grounds Enjolras, even though that's a thing that goes both ways.) He's aware that Combeferre can get caught up in spirals of overthinking and indecision and moral agonizing past what's productive, but, uh, friends help each other with that kind of thing, that's one thing friendship is about, and Combeferre helps him with his own blind spots and assumptions in turn, so.

...Also I mean Prouvaire and Combeferre both embody several aspects of the Ideal Republic because OBVIOUSLY.

Look, it's not like it took me FIVE MONTHS or anything.

Carol is the big sister Alanna had NO IDEA she wanted. Except, if Alanna had had a big sister she probably would have been a proper lady. Carol is... not a proper lady. Alanna adores her all the more for it, and is definitely in awe of her powers. There's a healthy dose of respect, too, and gratitude that she hasn't seen fit to blast Alanna's secret all over the bar. Alanna will suffer all the teasing and other small indignities in return.

Elizabeth thinks Lady Mary is a rather stuck up stick in the mud with strange ideas. That said, she actually enjoys their conversations. It helps keep her sharp.

Stiles, Stiles, Stiles. Grace loves the kid. In love with bad ideas, you say? Grace is full of them, and she'll let him tag along on most anything. That said, she'd protect him with her life. She'd tell you it's because she's a cop and that's what she does, but it's because he's her friend... and it's what she does.
