Goooooooood morning, Milliways!
Today's DE is one from the suggestion box, courtesy of our very own

In Inside Out, everyone is governed by five primary emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger. While all of them work together to shape someone's personality, one or two emotions usually dominate. (And they can manifest in less straightforward ways -- Sadness may show up as being very concerned about others, Anger as being passionate, and Fear or Disgust as self-preservation.) So which emotion, or emotions, dominate your character's head?

Mako is dominated by Fear. He's semi-constantly thinking about what might happen if something goes wrong with any given plan of action, and is driven mainly by a desire to keep Bolin and himself from having to go back onto the streets.
B.J is dominated by Sadness. His defining emotional feature is his massive sense of empathy, and he takes every life lost to the encroaching Nazi war machine as a failure on his part to end the war sooner.
Connor is dominated by Fear and Anger. A lot of his actions in canon are driven by a combination of a fear of what a Templar-controlled America would be like for his people and a passion for what he sees as the promise of freedom for the colonists and the Iroquois.
Ellie is dominated by Fear. Canonically, she is monophobic, and a lot of her mementos and actions (her broken Walkman which her girlfriend Riley made a mixtape for, her mother's switchblade and letter to her, Riley's dogtags and punbook - which Ellie tells jokes from in-game - the way she whistles the way Riley taught her, [SPOILERS]the picture of Joel with his daughter Sarah and the toy robot she got for Sam[/SPOILERS]) are her way of keeping the memories of the all the people she lost alive and with her.
Maverick is dominated by Joy. -you saw Top Gun, right?

Izana: I'm inclined to go with sadness by way of being concerned for others.
Asajj: Fear. Losing things is her biggest motivator. Once it would have been sadness expressed as anger.
Ethan: Fear. Fear of what he is and fear of what he may have done or whom he has harmed.
Ahsoka: Joy. She loves being who she is and doing what she can do.
Selina: Joy as well. She loves being a predator in Gotham, though she knows she's small time.
Luidaeg: Sadness and Disgust. Sadness at her past, disgust at what Faerie is becoming.
Quinlan: Joy and fear. Joy at his family, fear at what the galaxy has become.
Hank: Fear of being labeled a freak or a monster. I will be moving him past this even if canon doesn't seem to want to let him.
Sam: Joy, I think. He honestly believes the world is a good place. There is pain and suffering but it can be healed, or ended.

Gaeta: ...honestly, I think Fear. It manifests as being incredibly detail-oriented -- more than anything, he fears making mistakes. Anger dominated during the last few months of his life, though; Sadness takes pretty regular turns at the helm, too.
Bolin: Joy. Unquestionably. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME, GUYS.
Olivia: It's about a 60/40 split between Anger and Sadness, I think. Anger mostly manifests as being passionate about justice/fairness, and Sadness shows up as empathy.

Dinah is dominated by Joy. She does what she does because she loves it - and even when it's hard, her compassion comes from love. She's an optimistic realist, and her hope for the world comes from joy.
Korra is dominated by Fear. Which at the moment is fear of inadequacy, but it'll be fear of other things soon enough.
Skye... is a tough one. I want to say Anger - at her parents for abandoning her, at SHIELD for covering up her life, at all the injustice in the world. But Joy is there too - if only because Joy is always ready to beat down Fear every time it shows up.

Katya: Is primarily ruled by Anger - both in the 'these are the rules set down by the treaty and I'll be damned if the Dark is going to get even a sliver of a pass on them' sense and the 'I'm going to tear their faces off' sense.
Oswin: Probably used to be dominated by Joy, but Fear has the reins now.
.... aaaand others when I get brain. Braaaaaaaaaaaains.

Henry: Currently, mostly Sadness--but there's joy wanting to get out, manifesting more in the sense of being a dreamer than anything. These two will switch off.
Evelyn: Is really fascinating. I think Joy tries to tell itself it is in charge, but really it's probably Fear calling most of the shots. This may shift to Fear+Anger after A Certain Event, and possibly off to Joy for real when there is less reason for fear. But for now? Yeah. Probably Fear.
Lois: Joy and Anger. All the passion for everything. Poor Fear gets ignored almost all the time and probably has to scream a lot about "I TOLD YOU SO" after the fact. Joy still ignores it.
Tavi: ...Process of elimination suggests Joy and Anger--but with enough of Sadness to temper and control the anger unlike in his father.

Javert - hmmm. Tricky. He's quite joyful in his work, but it's specifically shown that there's nothing so terrible as joy in the way he uses it. I'd have to go with Disgust, I think.
Jean Valjean - Sadness. Oh God, so much Sadness. Even the joy he gets with Cosette becomes tinged with it as time passes. He had so little happiness. :(
Courfeyrac - Joy. Easy.
Bruce Wayne - Fear. Not the self-preservation kind, either.
Bruce Banner - ha. Anger.
Pearly Soames - um. Insanity. He alternates between being happy and charming, and downright psychotic, so lets mix Joy and Anger, yeah?
Jim Moriarty - also tricky. He's just trying to stave off boredom. Also, he's nuts. Disgust and Anger, maybe?

Maybe insanity is being unable to find one emotion to hold onto?

I really wish I could get into Hugo. I know so many amazing people who are transfixed by him, and I just don't see it. Then again, my tastes are odd, so...

As for Dejah - tbh, I can completely get next to going off the rails if you've lost someone you've been with for that long. Good that she had people around to pull her out of it though!

Also, that icon is killing me ded. DED I SAY.

And dude, inorite? Phwoar. *strokes it*

Disgust also is big, but not as significant. It is the emotion that originally led her astray, though. It might have been what she was originally ruled by before bad things happened.
Fairy Fixit is likely abnormally balanced, but Fear is starting to become dominant with her.
Evil Chicken is an insane sort of Joy.

Sadie: Joy. Her life is really amazing. She's found true love and she never has to worry about anything, and she has enough strength to laugh off things like killer demonic clowns.
Groot: Joy.
Furiosa: Anger. But of course.
Jack: Anger.
I'm going to have to think about Merlin, Cecil and the Vision. Nothing immediately springs to mind. (That probably means I need to play them more.)

Garyn: Sadness and Anger, in order. He has had a shit life, though retains some measure of compassion and morality, buried under cynicism and resentment.
Sheogorath: I rather suspect Sheogorath's Headquarters is staffed by a collection of winged skeevers riding bicycles in random directions. But he does take a lot of joy in driving people insane or torturing them when he gets mad. Joy and Anger are the strongest rat-cyclists living in Sheogorath's head.
Raiden: Sadness. His is a grave task.

Dixie: Joy
Eponine: Sadness
Juliet: Joy
Pinkie: Is the ponysonification of joy
