DE: One step at a time

Today's topic is inspired by my completing a bicycle repair and maintenance class (which was awesome).

How is your character with long term goals/plans? Do they chart every step? Do they just let things happen? Do they start things and then they sort of meander until it is completed or forgotten?

Also, Happy AU week!

The only thing my character ever plans out are heists. When it comes to life it just happens. When things get too tough she has no trouble dropping everything and making a change.

Oh shoot, I had meant the bits about battle planning that ended up with Hank's answer to be part of Rollo's. To sum up, battle is for planning, life is for living.

Ibani is skeptical of Quin being a planner. ;-)

So he leaves a little too much wiggle room sometimes. ; p

ETA: actually, I think he's more for short term plans and Khaleen is good for long terms plans with good payoff.

Tess plans. As she's also become too aware that plans often hit a snag, she has backup plans. And backup backup plans. This is why she monitors missions and rarely goes on them.

Sherral started planning to become one of the most powerful people in the most powerful empire in Ivalice when he was about ten years old, and nine years later he is very much on track with that plan.

(The time to beat as far as becoming a Judge Magister goes is Zecht's, who for timeline reasons must have ascended to said rank when he was in his early twenties - although he was quite possibly helped along by being on the right side of a not-quite-civil-war.)

He's doing quite well on that plan, through a combination of hard work and occasional opportunism - it's not so much that he's charted every step as that he knows the rough route.

None of my others are really planners, at all. They all just kind of make up their plans on the fly.

The only one who's any good at forming long-term plans is Juliet, and she's very organized with them.
