AU week was great fun, we had a blast, and I'm very glad I brought that concept over from my dear defunct Morningstar Manor. Something else followed from there, so some of our little guys are going to be at the Vine Square festival this September, in the world of that RPG.
In RL, I completed the huuuuuuuge-ass work assignment with the deadline on Friday, and got already heaped with praise. It's a post-event evaluation that ran to 130 pages -- a task I HATE HATE HATE like burning, but am at the same time apparently very good at. Being good at something you hate is quite the nasty conundrum.
Playing in AU week kept me sane throughout it, but without that shite, I would have had so much more time to play, and could have tagged everybody...
I have driven from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, a journey that crossed the Continental Divide twice, passed over a high point of 8,640 feet above sea level, and went through the smallest town in the United States (population: 1).
I applied for a job and wrote a long but good cover letter for it. AU week was fun, with Pacific Rim Sameth, I've gotten a few balls rolling and some unexpected conversations happened. I did a lot of tagging out but these are some of my favorite threads that I was part of.
Grace and AU!William, I love how matter of fact she is with him and respectful. William and Valjean, an interesting mix of different eras and also understanding each other.
AU!Jane meeting Arabella Strange, I love this thread for how they get along.
Joly and Sam are science dorks and I love them. Sam and Curtis talk Jaegers and I look forward to them talking more.
I had tons of fun with AU Week. Eric got to be an asshole to several people - and then there was of course the heartache and heartbreak that was his thread with Emcee. .... which he will of course remember ...
In RL I enjoyed the last week if my summer vacation, going to Lejre (home of historical Regnar Lodbrog), hanging out at home , and of course participating in Tour de Fleece. I've spun more than 1.5 km yarn in singles this year.
