Weekend Entertainment
Guess who just saw a double feature of Moneyball and Friday Night Lights. Go on, guess.
Let's talk sports! Does - or did - your character play any? Watch any? Do they have a favorite team/player?

Valjean/Javert/Bruce Banner/Pearly Soames/Jim Moriarty - no. Team sports were not much of a thing in the Frenchmen's time, Banner spent his life buried in books (though he runs now, but it's not for a love of sport), Pearly's way too mental and probably supernatural anyway, and Jim...ahaha. Well, I imagine he blackmailed the sports teachers to get out of PE as a kid.
Bruce Wayne - I imagine did every sport there was, and excelled at them. He's into pushing himself. He doesn't follow any particular team or player because like the other Bruce, he's doing it for another reason. Martial arts, obviously, are his thing these days.
Courfeyrac probably did a fair bit of fencing and shooting when he was younger, being from a wealthy family. I imagine he kept up the sword a bit when he was in Paris, but there were so many other fun pursuits to distract him.

She has been known to deface a bridge or two over that particular rivalry.
One of the best nights she ever has on the show is when Barry Switzer shows up in their bar. They hang out. She even lets him drive Connie.
None of the rest of mine care about sports ball. Grace makes up for that in sheer enthusiasm. :D

Jehan Prouvaire is also not from a team sport era. But he will try almost anything once. Like Combeferre, he's learned riding (but Jehan isn't very good at it) and shooting (ditto). Additionally, he's learned fencing (also not very good at it!). He is good at dancing. And he's actually in pretty good physical shape because he spends inordinate amounts of time walking around his city and its surrounding fields in a poetic daze. He also gets into bar-fights over art and politics. That's his main sport.
Brienne of Tarth also doesn't do sports. She does melées and battles and duels, and wins. If she ever took up fencing or stick-fighting as a sport, she'd be amazing. Right now, though, she only does it in total earnest.

Olivia's also a baseball fan -- not particularly hardcore, but she likes going to and/or watching games on TV when she gets the chance. She's a Red Sox fan out of self-preservation, mostly. (And of course she hates the Yankees, as any rational baseball fan would.)
Bolin: "LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT PRO-BENDING AT GREAT LENGTH AND HOW INCREDIBLY AWESOME IT IS :DDDDDD"
Curtis doesn't remember, and there was definitely no room for sports on the train. (While I don't think he was a jock in his pre-train life, I do think he'd play pick-up basketball with his friends with some regularity.)

And then they would fight, because Gene's possibly even more hair-trigger than Harry in that regard. :D

...and because he can empathize with looking like you're gonna win and then blowing things for no reason sorry what don't mind meI need to start keeping a list so I can calculate exactly what percentage of patrons he has gotten into fights with.

They can scrap over it, and then have a beer. Gene will teach him darts! And then arrest him next time he gets into an unlawful fight, and not see any problem with that whatsoever. *GRIN*

going on long possibly angry rants until people want to hit you wow that is a thing harry knows nothing about

Or the absolute opposite, but I remain optimistic! Harry is very much Gene's type of impulsive. :D

...yep. This is potentially a beautiful friendship waiting to happen. And a very destructive one. :D

Luidaeg just told be she follows Roller Derby and Hockey. I think she'd follow the Sharks (both for being a local team and for the mascot). I don't know any Roller Derby teams but I know she'd aim for local ones.
The only sport they've show in Izana's canon are Garde duels and they are an avid follower. Seeing as how the culture is heavily based on Japan, I would guess baseball is kind of a favorite game for kids and so they likely played that before the academy.
Sam likely played sports as well and I am sure he watches them, but I am getting nothing specific right now. Maybe later.

And ahahahahahahaha--
So Lois is absolutely a fan of the right sports, and comes down firmly on Metropolis' side every time. And in Metropolis-Gotham rivalries, she probably gets vicious and it gets hilarious. I think baseball she needs the right company or a critical game to enjoy, and she's not much of a basketball fan? But American football and some baseball she loves. Not sure where she falls on the 'proper' football line, and while she doesn't follow British sports, if someone presented her with a game of rugby I expect she'd like it. (She might have a violent streak.)
She does not think golf is a real sport, incidentally. Not sure why. Neither is poker, in her opinion.
Her real love is monster trucks. She will scream herself hoarse at a monster truck rally without an instant of regret.
She also, I suspect, used to play touch football on the base with her father's men and kicked their sorry asses. Because Lois.

Cyborg was a star athlete before the accident, and still follows sports but it's not the same since he can't play. Like a lot of athletes, watching others plays isn't as interesting.
My other pups are athletic, but organized sports eludes them.

Raiden: This will be even less of a shock to you, but the Eternal God of Thunder isn't much of a sports guy.
Garyn: Garyn did a lot of physical training, but it was all in the service of learning how to become a mercenary.
Sheogorath: He likes the sports where the heads bounce around on the field. Doesn't exist, you say? He just invented it.

Adrian Shephard is into rugby. I'd say hunting but he doesn't consider it a sport so much as a thing you do, like home maintenance or grocery shopping. I don't think he has a professional team he favors, though.
Ellen played baseball in the Vault as a kid. These days, not so much.
Santo is his sport. Similarly, Wee Mad Arthur constitutes a football riot all by himself.
Stacker Pentecost has picked up a fondness for sepak takraw, which is basically flying spin kick ninja volleyball. Not sure if he favors a given team or a given country's team (although I think he may follow Malaysia's players).
Fawkes and Edward Kenway don't particularly participate in or follow anyone's sports. I don't think organized sports exist in Thedas, so Varric mostly just gets told he can't compete in archery contests (it's canon, there's a sign on a wall in Dragon Age Inquisition saying 'archery contest this week, Varric and Bianca not allowed').

Dixie: Sports are for people who sweat
Juliet: Name anything, she's tried to participate in it.
Pinkie: Same, also frequently does aerobics.
Eponine: Trying to stay alive on the streets counts, I suppose.
