Emergency backup DE
Since it's 11:15 here in Boston and we don't have a DE yet, I'm volunteering one.
The Ring of Gyges is an artifact mentioned in Plato's Republic as part of a moral philosophical exercise; it makes its wearer invisible. The philosophical exercise involved is the question of what a person who has possession of this ring does with it, knowing that it can prevent them from being seen regardless of what they're doing.
What would your pup do if they found themselves in possession of such a ring?
Assume that it not only makes them invisible, but undetectable to other forms of surveillance or perception that would be found in their setting. Also assume that the ring in question was not made by either Sauron or Celebrimbor and therefore carries no risk of wraiths or having to leave for Valinor when you're done with it.

Rebels era, she would use it to take out Palpatine, not realizing this would likely make things worse as there's more to the Empire than the head and some one else would just take his place, if not several people attempting to do just that. A multi-faction civil war is the last thing the galaxy needs.
Rollo: He would use it to tear apart enemies, gain secrets on his people's enemies, and likely use it to gain political power above his brother. Ultimately, he'd abuse it badly and end up as the classic paranoid ruler.
Selina: She would use it to go anywhere and take anything she wanted. She'd likely set up a lair somewhere and stock it in true posh fashion. I'm on the fence about whether she'd share it wish anyone, as I think she'd know someone would try and take it from her. The lair I mean as she would know to hide the ring. She would likely make more food and comfort available for other street kids.
Luidaeg: Scoffs and wonders why she'd need the ring in the first place. Although it would be nice to have to keep away from her sister.
Quinlan: He'd use it to rob the Empire blind. I can't decide if he'd go so far as to take out Vader or Palpatine with it, as he's experienced enough to know someone just as bad if not worse, would just step in.

Hank: Let's assume this is past Cuba. He'd take ti to Charles and together they would decide if it truly was something to be used or locked away. He'd be tempted to keep it to potentially use against Magneto and his brotherhood, but would the ring protect against telepathy? Or Magneto sense any metal Hank might be wearing? Chances are, at the least, Hank would study it to try and figure out how it worked.
Sam: Would take it to Steve to see if he thought it was safe to use. If so, then Sam would likely use it sparingly and only in fights to protect people. His wings and tech give him an edge but being able to be invisible would be much more useful when facing the things the Avengers face.
Izana: I can't decide if they would use it. There's not much they don't keep themselves from doing for fear of being caught. There's a difference between knowing what is proper and not doing something because you could get caught.
Briareus: He would give it to Deunan since she's the pointman and would get more use out of it.

My answer would be different if season 03 had ended differently. Curse you writers!

Also the Middle Earth reference was brilliant.

However, he would've used the heck out of it for revolution-related courier work.
In Milliways, there's honestly not much point to having it, for him. He might try to get it to someone he'd trust with such a thing back home, via Valjean or something, I suppose.
Cosette would be like "ha, what reason do I have to use this?" buuuut she'd hang onto it anyway without quite articulating to herself why.
(The answer is the same one for why she turned into a lark for Cubefall: freedom from the constant scrutiny that is life as a young bourgeois woman in her day. She'd keep it for the freedom that just the possibility inherent in having it gives her. And she'd probably use it someday, not for anything particularly illicit but just for the kind of thing that a young man could do without thinking twice, and a young woman can't.)
Kazul would stick it in her pantry in case it came in handy someday.
Thor would simultaneously regard it as dishonorable to use, and have to go sit down from the anvil-wham of Loki-related grief for a while.
Trowa would hide it in the go-bag that lives under his bed, probably in a bag or box with an incredibly boring and innocuous label. He wouldn't use it at all under most circumstances, but on a mission or especially if war threatened again? Oh you better believe he'd be taking every advantage he had. Though he wouldn't use it unless he had to, on general principles of not depending on that kind of thing.
River's answer is similar to Trowa's, except that she would also use it to lurk around the ship and unnerver her friends by popping out of nowhere.

So... business as usual, then. :)

Juliet would go around doing good deeds. Pinkie, too.
Dixie would steal the finest of things and throw a party for the poorest of people. So, ironically, would Eponine.
