I'm stealing today's DE. It's happening.
We've got a new app cycle coming up in a few days! Anybody you're thinking of bringing into the bar? Or, conversely: is there anybody you've thought about apping in the past, but ultimately didn't? How come?

(Tony suggested using Paul F. Tompkins as his masquerading-as-human PB, when he just wanted to hang out in bar and
listen for secretswatch people. And now I just... *hands* )In conclusion: HELLO, ALL MY BUDDIES!

A few months ago, I came thiiiiiiisclose to apping Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe. I made a journal; I did some quiet test runs; I started sketching out a pre-Milliways OOM that'd get her into the bar alone despite being fused with Jasper. (It was gonna be awesome. Squid fights might have been involved.)
And then "Chille Tid" dropped and I went, "Um. I...I think I'm gonna wait to see how this plays out first."
I may still app her later! But yeah. Her story isn't anywhere near done in canon, and I trust the SU writers enough to listen as they tell that story first.

Edit: Also, I'll throw in my usual answer to the 'ones I almost apped question' - Tyler Durden, and Hamlet. I never went for the former because I couldn't work out a feasible way to play him, and the latter because I haven't got the guts to write in Shakespearian-style.
