Life's no fun without a good scare

 The Luidaeg has informed me that she will be making things spooky outback at Milliways and who am I to argue? I have gotten Mod approval and of course this plot is entirely voluntary.

So what is she going to do? First is atmosphere. Once I give her an EP, either today or tomorrow, things can be weird or spooky outback if you'd like. This will be a powerful enchantment/glamour for those that can feel such things and will feel very primal. Winds can howl or snatch at hats, hair, scarves, or whatever. Perhaps it can even form occasional vortexes about a person? Branches out in the forest, or roots in the garden snag on clothing or trip. Water plants out by the lake can do the same. Basically anything to add a bit of creepy and spooky without actively harming. The Luidaeg aims to scare, not hurt.

Let me say that again, The Luidaeg will scare you but will not physically harm.

In addition to this, she will have three EPs before Halloween, one for each week.

Week one, she will appear as a barghest, or ghost dog (think Hound of the Baskervilles), and will follow anyone around who tags her EP; perhaps even chasing them.

Week two, she will appear as a kelpie and anyone foolish enough to accept her invitation for a ride will get one wicked and scary ride, likely straight into the lake. Again, she will not hurt anyone, but she's not adverse to dunking or scaring one into thinking they are going to be drowned. The enchantment of the kelpie is such that anyone of lesser power than her will be stuck to her back until she releases them. I am open to negotiating on this and she will only do this with anyone who tags the EP.

Week three, she will appear as a dullahan, or headless horseman. This one will be much like the barghest for anyone who tags. She will lurk and intimidate, maybe chase people. Unlike the barghest, she will actually reach out and try to touch the other person before disappearing.

I am hopeful that this plot will not be in the way of anything anyone else is thinking of and if it might, I am open to seeing how we can work together.

Wondering if there is a way to work Swamp Thing into this. He is a horror comic character, after all.

I can see Luidaeg passing the haunting of the forest to him if he'd like the fun. Maybe they bump into each other in the first week? I was thinking the atmosphere enchantment was more of a free floating kind of thing, but if Swamp Thing wants to play, then she can focus it more on the open areas and water (i.e. air and water "hauntings").

Would it be okay for a person who would know the stories enough to recognize a barghest or kelpie when she sees one to run into them? Others (in her world, "Others" covers just about any legendary or mythological creature, which all exist) have been a long time subject of fascination for Sunshine.

No worries there. The closest Rae would consciously get to Others like that - where there are numerous stories of the dangers - would be 'keeping a respectful distance.'

Because she's already mixed up with Others enough for one life.

Cool. ANd to be honest, as much as it might frustrate Luidaeg that Rae isn't being frightened or spooked, it will warm her heart of hearts that the monster she is being recognized. = ]

Rae will likely react like I do when I see a poisonous snake. ("Oh shi- Oh you are beautiful! Hello there, gorgeous...." *stays a safe distance, but is entranced all the same, and despite the potential danger is glad to have had the experience*)

They should meet normally, as well! Rae will offer all the foods.

+1 to all of this. I am hoping this plot will allow Luidaeg ot be louder and so yes, they should meet. Yrael and she should met sometime also. I think she'd love his New Orleans too.
