DE: Breakfast

To continue with the morning theme: What's for breakfast? Does your charrie eat breakfast at all, and if so, what do they eat? And when -- right after waking up, or after the first round of work, exercise or so?

Sam usually runs before any real food. He will eat a hardboiled egg and maybe a banana, but that's more fuel than an actual breakfast. Once the run is done, he's all for the traditional American breakfast; eggs and toast, pancakes, waffles, etc. He doesn't eat these all in one meal but mixes them up.

Izana doesn't eat breakfast but that is more because they photosynthesize then any other reason. On the days they do need to eat (1 in 6 if memory is serving; which is making me wonder if a typical week on Sidonia is 6 days instead of Earth's seven), they'll likely eat what today's Japanese would typically eat.

Hank loves to drink his breakfast and by drink I mean Ovaltine and not alcohol.

Mark eats breakfast regularly. Usually, it's a bowl of cereal and juice on the weekdays, with a larger meal on the weekends. Debbie Grayson cooks traditional American breakfast foods, usually eggs, bacon or sausage, and toast, with occasional occurrences of pancakes, French toast, or other foods, either because she's feeling like a change herself or because of a holiday or birthday in the Grayson household. Mark himself is a passable breakfast cook because of his time at the Burger Mart; he can fry up meat and eggs, and can make a passable batch of scrambled eggs that could be fluffier but are certainly edible. He's trying to figure out omelets, but hasn't quite gotten the knack (he's got this idea of doing breakfast for his mother's birthday). They keep turning into scrambled eggs.

Sherral: He eats breakfast at eight sharp, a few hours after reveille, as is generally expected of an Archadian soldier in a garrison. Said breakfast probably changes depending on what supplies they can get (Rabanastre may be a bustling centre of trade, but it is also slap bang in the middle of the largest desert in Ivalice), but chocobo eggs and tomatoes are definitely included, because the Tchita Lowlands (which we know in canon are the holdings of House Gibbs and thus the largest chocobo breeding grounds in Ivalice) can't be more than a day's airship journey away; and animate, hostile tomatoes are much in evidence around Rabanastre anyway.

Yugo: Yugo drinks coffee that he doesn't really need and eats whatever happens to be around.

Eden: The Union most likely has a set breakfasting time, and that's when Eden eats - and he eats more or less like a very angry horse who has a grudge against all food, which is to say that he eats a lot. He is physically a teenager, after all, and he has the appetite of one.

Combeferre eats when his stomach growling gets too loud to be ignored. In Paris it worked out to some rough equivalent to a schedule, so yes, he would eat something in the morning. In Milliways...no. He has coffee in the morning, but his first bite of actual food will be some hours later. In Paris, breakfast would have been bread and milk and maybe some meat. In Milliways his first meal is likely a sandwich.

Jean Prouvaire eats about two and a half meals per 18-hour waking period. Given the hours he keeps, he wakes up around lunchtime, or even tea-time for those who might observe that, so...I mean, you could call it breakfast, but it's not. It's usually lunch food.

Brienne makes sure to have a morning meal if she can. Her default is porridge, if available.

Clementine: Donuts, coffee - she needs them to survive. Most of her food's grabbed at the station during the morning briefing.

Dixie: Will take a pastry and coffee when she bothers to rise.

Juliet: sticky buns and coffee before going in.

Pinkie: A huge stack of waffles, pancakes, toast, milk, juice, etc.

Eponine: Whatever she can scrounge.
