Who am I?
Hello hello dear peoples! Genarti and I have a mod-approved plot to offer you all for the second week of November. Which...granted, is next week.
It's your good old classic body-swap!
Here's the plan, in Genarti's words:
- One of Gredya's teenaged kids will find a sparkly vial in Kazul's Enchanted Forest. Being a teenaged dumbass (and what a dumbass he is, dammit Karel), he will bring it back to the bar and attempt to sell it or open it or something -- anyway, it will get opened or broken within the bar. Cue FOOM of green smoke and otherwise DRAMATIC MAGICAL EFFECT, and everyone within a certain radius will get bodyswapped. (The kid himself will probably get bodyswapped with a cat or something so as to be out from underfoot once his plot function's done.) THIS SHOULD HAPPEN NOV. 7 OR THE EVENING OF NOV. 6. I WILL BE SLIGHTLY BUSY THAT WEEKEND, BUT EVERYBODY CAN GET STARTED.
- Kazul will coincidentally be on the premises for this event, whether or not she's within the bodyswapping radius. At any rate, she'll be able to identify it and to stick a sign up in the bar saying DON'T WORRY, IT'S MCGUFFIN'S UNNECESSARILY DRAMATIC BODYSWAP SPELL, IT'LL WEAR OFF BY ITSELF IN TWO OR THREE DAYS.
- ...And then it'll wear off in two or three days. This is not a super-plotty set-up. For people who are not into bar-wide crack, we're figuring the strangeness should only take up that week.
Logistics of the proposed bodyswap:
- If you're within a certain extremely handwavy radius at the exact moment of the bodyswap spell, you're affected. Main bar? Yes! Upstairs: some rooms yes, some rooms no, as the muns like! Outside: some places yes, some places no, as the muns like! Down the hall or in the bathroom or whatever: probably fine, unless your mun wants you not to be!
- If you have magic resistance or phenomenal cosmic powers or whatever, you can resist the spell if your mun wants you to, or be vulnerable to it because it's weird different magic from another world if your mun wants you to. Handwave handwave -- this is all subject to narrative convenience and what's fun for the players involved.
- It'll wear off in two to three IC days. If somebody wants to be able to break the spell for themselves before then, via their own powers or a McGuffin or whatever, that's cool too. But nobody will be able to break it for everybody else all at once, because, y'know, that ruins the plot. Kazul will be available to answer questions if anybody really wants, but most of the relevant information will go up on the sign she makes.
- It's probably easiest for most people to be temporarily Bound for the duration of the bodyswap. But if you want to have your character able to go back to their own world, or the world of the person they've swapped with, just make sure you work it out with the other mun(s) involved.
- Magical powers, etc: do they go along with the mind, or stay with the body? Entirely up to the muns involved! Figure out what's most logical and/or entertaining for your particular characters and run with it.
- A character swaps with whoever the mun wants to have them swap with. It doesn't need to be the closest person at the moment, or anything like that. It could be a pet or something too -- anything the spell would read as a body + mind -- but it'll presumably mostly be other patrons.
This is totally the kind of thing that the Enchanted Forest might plausibly have, but it's not a canonical spell. So there's plenty of wiggle room to change around these logistics if there's anything that you think would work better done differently.
So.... questions? Want to toss characters out here to find partners? :D?

Even if it never comes to in-bar fruition, I now have a mental image of this guy getting bodyswapped with Steve Rogers.

Because I'd like to offer up Mike, Raph, Bumi or Aang.
The Loompas do not Body Swap.
But...bear in mind, if someone swaps with Mike, they get Bar too, and there needs to be a conversation about that....because it'll be painful.
OH! Splinter too!
