DE: Who are you?

You know, it would help if I posted the DE to the backroom instead of my personal journal....

So, here we are in another week. The body swap plot has gotten off to a great start and I've loved many of the threads. Which has me wondering, has your pup learned anything from their experience?

And for those of us how haven't joined in or aren't able to, any new music you discovered recently?

Not playing with the body swap as I've too many active threads I want to keep afloat.

In the new music department, I recently discovered Lykke Li and I am floored with her voice, especially No Rest For The Wicked.

I think a little sedation might help? Cam and I had a long talk about lateral line senses in the Thark. And being in a human body without that has really messed Tars up. Like losing your eyesight or hearing.

Edgar on the other hand is handling it just fine! The little sh*t.

I can see that! And I can see why it would shut down the pup.

Same reason I figure Transformers who've been plunked into human bodies are going to wig out- they're gonna lose access to signals of all kinds and it'll be like going on an airplane with a head cold and suddenly going deaf from the inside. WHERE. IS. EVERYTHING. AUUUGH.

Eeeexactly. Plus there's a whole extra helping of preconceived notions about humans/red men being pale, pink and pathetic. (Because clearly John Carter was an anomaly and should not be counted.)

Yeah, Tars is a whole lot more messed up about this than I anticipated. Sorry Edgar?

I'm starting to wonder if being in a body that doesn't carry any of the train's trauma might wake up more of Curtis' pre-train memories. I haven't committed 100% either way yet, but...yeah. Turns out thinking, "this is what I might've looked like if the world hadn't froze," every time you look down at yourself gets you thinking about what everything else was -- or could've -- been like if the world hadn't froze!

Mainly I've been rediscovering older music I love, there's a show on my local PBS station that's all about musicals and I love it. Whenever I hear it, it makes me miss being in the theater.

I don't have anyone in the body swap which is probably for the best as this week is a local film festival but I love reading it and plan on tagging with some my unswapped pups for interesting conversations.

I'm so sad that I missed out on this plot, but life just got really...in the way this past month.

Like Mike's mun, I've been crazy busy. Ironic, since this was when I was trying to get back into Milliways on a more regular basis. Is it too much to ask for a job that pays me six figures to surf the Internet all day? :)

So, currently, I'm listening to the third Cowboy Bebop OST, Blue. Interesting, but less Cowboy Bebop and more the Seatbelts just doing interesting jazz/pop things.

I am still in a hiatus due to my job soaking up my creative urges, but I've recently been jamming out to Metric. And apparently they have a new album out, which I was entirely unaware of. That might be the reason why Pandora was playing them at me out of the blue.
