DE: Pet peeves
There are those small, persistent annoyances in life that continue to throw sand into the gears of our everyday business which we hate like burning and eliminate where we can -- if not as literally as Hannibal with his aversion to rudeness. For example, Teja just detests the entitled attitude of people from the future who think that reality and everybody around them owes them rights and attention according to their own modern, pampered standards. Dorian has nothing but contempt for the blinkered attitude of his peers who regard everybody not like them as entertainment at best, as sub-human at worst. I myself hate resource hoggery -- when people use up more of their fair share of shared resources, like those guys spreading their legs on public transport onto more than one seat, or putting their bags on the seat next to them, never mind how full the train is.
So: what is it that your charries hate like that?

More minor but also highly irksome to him is the tendency of humans to use the word "people" to mean "humans"; to him it means "sapient beings" and he does not appreciate being excluded, even with the most innocent of intentions, from this category.

This makes it very hard for him to keep a job in a class-conscious society, and I'm certain he'd happily have shivved Henry Lascelles if he could have got away with it (and if Lascelles wasn't of use to Norrell's cause).

Shephard is immensely easygoing in a lot of ways but has a longstanding grudge against the popular prejudice Americans have against Appalachia residents. People who make assumptions about him or his fellow West Virginians based on their geography immediately get sent to the top of his list of people it's okay to fuck around with.

Raven eats his pet peeves.
X is frustrated by people who talk to her like she is a thing, or like she is stupid. She hates people that generally treat others as things, or like causing pain, or both. She is also vexed by the fact that people knowingly ingest poisons and drugs as social lubricant. WHYYYYYYY.
Dean hates people asking about how he's feeling. Or prying for information. Or touching his baby.
Nynaeve dislikes stupidly stubborn people that will not listen to her eminently sensible advice. And who try to get themselves killed.

Sabine can't stand people who don't respect weapon systems and has no time for those who don't properly care for them.
Rollo is much the same. He'll put up with a lot but do not mistreat your weapons. I think he keeps a pretty tight ship as well, tbh.
Selina will write your off if you mistreat women or cats. There is likely no going back if you do this.
With the Luidaeg, you had best give her a receipt and never have more than the number of items permitted in the express lane. Also, don't think you can waltz into her neighborhood as if you own the place. It is HERS.
Hank's biggest pet peeve, aside from bullying, is willful ignorance.

Meanwhile, Pam finds everything about humans to be annoying. Just...yeah, everything. Also, getting dirt on her shoes. And when Eric gets blood on his expensive clothes that she bought for him.
Floki (I'm trying to work my way back toward his voice) is annoyed by people who speak disparagingly about the gods. He also has issues with people dismissing him as being 'just a fool,' even if sometimes he'll play it to his advantage. And if you're Athelstan, he just hates you on principle… >_>

Enjolras hates being flirted with or having his looks commented on, or feeling like attention's being paid to him because of them rather than because of something he's doing or saying. (As far as flirting goes, his society's assumptions mean he has a hair-trigger sensitivity to any hint of it from women, and it has to be really blatant for him to notice it from men.)
He's also quietly outraged by people treating others unequally, condescending to or insulting or ignoring those of less money or 'rank,' etc, but I'm not sure that counts as petty annoyance since it ties into his entire life philosophy etc.
Kazul gets annoyed when people are impolitely nosy -- politely nosy is fine, but sneaking around someone else's stuff irks her. So does theft, especially of magic. She isn't exactly annoyed by people being superficial and frivolous, but she runs out of patience for talking to them fast.
Also, bad food. Life may be centuries long, but that's still too short to waste on bad cooking, she feels.
Thor has very little patience for dishonorable behavior, or insults to anybody who's a noble warrior/scholar/etc. He also has very little patience with insults to Asgard, but that's sort of a responsibility that's expected of him. In a more petty way, he's amused by pranks and tricks (especially magic ones) riiiiiiight up until the point where he's really annoyed by them, and that can be a fine line -- though nowadays there's also grief for Loki mixed in with both feelings.

William gets annoyed at people who don't understand even after he's explained that his situation doesn't match up to their knowledge. Asking him what would he really like to be doing is ignoring what he's said or explaining to him how he can fix things. Acting condescending and not treating him like an adult, he knows he looks young but he's doing a man's job. He also gets annoyed at the weird romantic views of the West, that's not his world.
Charles hates when people lack sympathy for others and don't care to learn, but go nope, I don't like these people and dismiss them. And people who don't actually listen in conversations, but talk to someone to have an audience. He finds the fear his mutation generates in others hard, but it does wear him down.
Sameth hates when the Charter and magic is dismissed out of hand simply because its not in their world, that doesn't mean it can't exist somewhere else.
Quentin is disturbed by people who don't seem to respect the ideas of duty and secrets, there are reasons not everyone speaks of everything.
Jane hates that she is seen as a sheltered woman due to her time and that a modern person has to explain certain ideas to her. She's educated and she pays attention. Also don't talk with her in a way that makes it seem like she should be thanking you for the privilege of your company.
Moist actually isn't bothered by a lot, he doesn't like violence and people who live by it or those who think they know someone just on the evidence of what they see. He takes advantage of people's assumptions.
Demeter finds anyone who believes themselves entitled to anything awful and those who take by force.
Ivan like Quentin, Will and Sameth hates people who ignore their responsibilities, he enjoys himself but he does what he has to. Also when people make quick assumptions about him or his family though that's less for his sake and more from seeing how Miles has been hurt. He'll let someone think him a not so smart Barrayaran but don't underestimate or insult Miles on his watch.
Tumnus is disturbed by those who don't care for the people that are under their care and anyone who sees nonhumans as less worthy of attention.

everythingpeople who dress too fancy, the implication that maybe someone is mocking him, people who haven't done anything important (meaning: been in a battle) trying to tell him what to do, sort of women generally, people who boast or exaggerate about their accomplishments, Scottish people in general, people delivering letters at inopportune moments, people asking questions about his Secret Plans, perfume, snuff...no subject

The Count can't stand his daughter or her mother. He also is very annoyed at his son's insistence on being friends with breathers and being "normal".
Death really doesn't like people who take him for granted, or think that they can cheat death. *eyes Sam and Dean* Yeah, I'm talking to you guys.
Daniel gets pretty upset when people tell him that archaeology isn't a real science. Shows how much they know. He also gets fairly annoyed with beings that have the power to help others but don't because of some rule that precludes it.

Bahorel is nearly always cheerfully furious about nearly everything all the time anyway, and he can choose to be irritated by whatever's at hand when he's bored, but above and beyond that: any suggestion that fiction or art is or should be meaningless or trivial. Also, anything that slows him down and makes him waaait for thiiiings, that's when he starts getting bored and entertains himself by being angry at *rolls dice* the sound that rich guy's boots are making, yeah! HOW DARE THEY.
Also, Neoclassicism. It knows what it did!
Joly: that thing when people say noooo they don't need a chair or a share of dinner or a glass of wine because they're just leaving but they're not leaving and it's been an hour and they still won't sit down but they won't join in whatever's going on because they're 'just leaving' but they won't stop talking and now no one else can do anything they were about to do because you're all busy saying goodnight but it's been three hours and they're still 'just leaving' and he is going to scream except he's really genuinely much too polite for that but where are his friends when he needs them to set something on fire for a quick excuse, stop ' just leaving' and either sit down or actually leave, it is making him think in italics.

Here's the thing: the categories of "paranormal" and "supernatural" are essentially used to ghettoize things like ghosts, spirits, demons, etc. into a category of "things that rational people do not believe in because they are ridiculous superstitions, but there are a lot of people who do believe in them and we don't feel like arguing with them right now, so we'll just humor them."
He also has A Thing about the artificial separation between religion and magic, but it's not a peeve per se.

People willfully ignoring known responsibilities for no good reason aren't likely to endear you to her either, and neither is picking on/harassing/generally bullying someone who's seemingly no match for you. See also, Sariel not being at all impressed with Penn chucking knives at Teller; yes, there was much more to the situation than was readily apparent, but she didn't know that.
