Well, I'm gradually collecting the Sandman by Gaiman, The Homana books by Jennifer Roberson, The Dark is Rising sequence by Susan Cooper (I had them all once - moral, never lend books to people).

Jordan's 'Wheel of Time" and "Eye of the World" books are a possibility, but you'd need masses of tokens for those.

How about Discworld?
