Thursday DE: goldfish shoals nibbling at our toes, fun fun fun in the sun sun sun
The other day, as we were all huddled at the school bus stop, pretending to ourselves that the fence was an adequate windbreak and wondering whether it would really make it up to 20F today or if that was all lies, one of the first-graders kept up a running monologue. "I wish I was in Florida. I wish I was at Disney. On a ride. I wish I was in Florida."
On that theme, where's somewhere your character has always wanted to visit? Are we talking Dream Vacation, Spiritual Retreat, Nerdy Research Times...?

Feuilly would like to travel Poland and have feelings about homelands and nations struggling under foreign dominion. Possibly stand around singing Poland is Not Yet Lost.
Djehuty is thinking Japan sounds neat!
Gredya goes wherever the hell she wants, thank you. Except she'd really like to be able to settle back home again.
The Chief pretty much also goes wherever she wants, thank you. I mean, I'm sure she's got a huge notebook full of travel ideas and could flip to any page and tell you all about what she'd like to do in...*refreshes Wikipedia's random article page until I hit a location*...Qurqan, Iran.
Lesgle would...ugh, he'd really like to go back to Paris, if we're being heartbreakingly honest. Lacking that, he'd like to take Joly up in a hot-air balloon. Somewhere, anywhere.
And Hal would like to go to France and bend it to his awe or break it all to pieces.

Also, dangit, Hal. No. :/

I've heard it's a great place to visit.

Bahorel is with Legle in the "just want to go Back to Paris" camp; everywhere else will always be variations on Not Paris. But he's totally fanboy enough that if he had to pick Somewhere Not Paris, he'd be thrilled to go to Lake Geneva and nerd out over the very mountains that inspired Mary Shelley and the very lake where Polidori hit Byron with an oar. Thrills! Deeply nerdy thrills!

I'll ping you with the options when I'm in the head space. =)

Shephard has an admittedly mildly insane teleporting nuclear icebreaker and an almost-but-not-quite flying motorcycle. He can go most places he wants to go without too much trouble. That being said, he wouldn't mind visiting the world with all the elemental benders. He'd stick out like a thumb caught in a car door, but it sounds like fun.
Gordon wants to go somewhere people don't recognize him and he can get some sleep.
Stacker wants to go to the Canary Islands. They're warm and have beaches and they're on the opposite side of the planet from the kaiju. He is good with this.
Santo.... I can see him harboring the occasional fantasy of going mountain climbing somewhere. Maybe Switzerland.
Wee Mad Arthur wants to go wherever his actual people are (the gnomes who raised him are very nice, but everyone knows they found him by the side of the road, having strangled the hawk that had tried to eat him).
Fawkes wanted, for most of his life, to go somewhere he could be free. He achieved this when Ellen and Star Paladin Cross got him out. Now he's doing the Zen thing and learning to be where he is, wherever that might be.
Varric wants to go someplace he's not supposed to be. Ideally, without Templar commanders spotting him in the process.
Hernan spent several years traveling the worldbefore taking up his life as a morally questionable superhero. If he wanted to go somewhere in particular, he'd do it.

Javert - nope. He doesn't have the imagination to wish to be anywhere else.
Valjean - yessss. And it's sad (for a change) because the canonical fact of him owning a lot of travel books could be read as him wanting to be other places, or merely planning possible escape routes in case the law catches up with him. I view it as a mixture of both; like, he reads about the places he might go if he were free, or places he could be free (or at least feel it), or just...find a place where he would not always be haunted by being himself.
In short: lots of places. Anywhere. Please. But he'd never go because, Cosette.
Bruce Wayne can go anywhere he likes, and chooses to remain in Gotham. Says it all, really.
Bruce Banner - lol, has seen quite a lot of the world by this point! I think he'd like to be able to go home, properly, and be in a lab and not think about leaving again.
Courfeyrac - another one for Paris, circa 1832 please.
Moriarty - there's nowhere in particular. If he wants to visit somewhere, he will. He'd like to visit a mental space where he's challenged by an equal, but they are so hard to find.
Pearly - God no. Leave New York? He's not actually capable, and wouldn't want to anyway.
Aubrey - nowhere specific, because he gets to see most of the world anyway. Has no desire whatsoever to stay on land. When he was young The Sea was his only dream, and calling at ports has its appeal but he'd rather be on water.

I'm half-joking, but only half, really. He should get to travel. :(

I mean, like, I constantly think about ways to try and make him take a holiday, but it was never possible pre-endcanon. But now it's definitely possible! I have no idea about the state of other countries, barring England, but I can deffo look into it!

Ysalwen wants to go to Antiva. One, to see where her essentially-husband grew up and two, to kill the shit out of some Crow Masters so her essentially-husband can continue to be not-dead.
Diana would like to go back to Themyscira for awhile, but currently it is out-of-this-plane by virtue of the gods. Alas.
Flemeth . . . Flemeth has learned not to think about this question. But currently she wants an amulet of hers to end up in Kirkwall, so that's . . . kind of an answer?
Dean Winchester wants to be on the road. Wherever he is, whatever town he's currently in, he'd rather be driving. Road trips forever.
Galadan would like to be on the Tacitus, his spaceship in the Firefly-verse. Yep.
Michael the Archangel is wherever she wants to be as soon as she wants to be there. It's handy. So is bilocation! (Trilocation? Almost-omnipresence?)
Nynaeve wants to be in bed with Lan, in a renewed Malkier, with nowhere to go and nothing to do.

Jehan Prouvaire wants to visit a whole lot of places. Like Bahorel, he'd be up for a fanboy tour. But he would also like to visit Japan. And Machu Picchu. And space.
Brienne would like to go somewhere beautiful and not a warzone.
Fantine would like to...go back to Paris, tbh.

I mean, he obviously really wants to go back to Paris, because Enjolras, but that's not really a visit. Beyond that, he would really rather like to visit an actual living city outside Milliways; he wouldn't say preferably kinda 19th/early 20th centuryish, but he'd be able to relax into that a whole lot better than into somewhere full of neon and fast cars. But he wouldn't really care about the location, so much as the people, and he would want it to be with friends. Okay, with Feuilly. Or any of his friends! Ideally all of his friends! But the top priority here: Feuilly.
Cosette would love to travel! I think she's read some of her father's travel books and dreamed the kind of vague dreams you have when you're a teenager who's never really gone anywhere exciting and wants to have EXCITEMENT and SCENERY and EXOTIC MEALS which mysteriously in your imagination still taste pretty familiar and you stay in... places? RENTED HOUSES OF YOUR VERY OWN OR WITH NEW-MADE FRIENDS NO DOUBT because she has a kind of a vague gut feeling that inns aren't good places to stay, no idea where she heard that one, it must just be general knowledge, everyone knows travelers' inns are awful. I don't know that she has any particular place she'd like to go, so much as a favorite daydream of the moment; she'd happily go along with a plan of Valjean's or now Marius's. (I suspect that her ideas about her father's mysterious past involved at some point the conviction that he'd traveled to all kinds of mysterious places, and she may still half-think that.) Some place on the Mediterranean, maybe, even just the south of France -- somewhere warm and full of flowers and without too much difficult travel involved in getting there. She would completely be a gleeful tourist about it, and the kind of tourist who doesn't demand that everything's like home but does want to be comfortable.
Thor, on the other hand, can travel where he likes, or could until fairly recently. Uh. There've gotta be some interesting little mini-worlds he hasn't visited! Or various parts of Midgard, he'd love to see more of that; it's so big and varied and it's all changed a lot since the last time he poked around Earth much. He took a road trip across the US with X, and that was great fun, so he'd happily do something else like that. Really, anywhere Thor goes, he's gonna enjoy himself, barring extraordinary circumstances or really annoying diplomatic demands.
Kazul can also fly anywhere she likes, within her world. I mean, within reason, but she's sort of a homebody, for a broad radius of home. It'd be cool to see some new mountains.

And aaawwww Cosette! I am so excited for her to have Adventures. :D

Death can be were he wants to be when he wants to be there.
Not sure about Naruto
Daniel would love to work in Atlantis.
The Count would like to be anywhere he won't get staked.

Sabine: Anywhere outside of the Imperial Academy.
Quinlan: He's fine wherever, as long as his family is there.
Hank: Some place quiet, isolated, and temperate.
Rollo: Out on the ocean, perhaps heading to Wessex for another raid.
Sam: Wherever the hell Bucky is.
Luidaeg: She wouldn't mind visiting the ocean realms but it's complicated.
Izana: One of the many sights of Sidonia, such as the thousand-year village (link to a Tumblr post with non-spoiler images of said village).
Selina: Either wherever her mother is or Jay's world.
Amelia: Wherever her family isn't. She's currently in the outer elemental fire planes and having a decent enough time. It'd be better if I could find the words to write the OOM of what she's been up to.

Charles: Oh Charles, at this point in time, he's not thinking as much about specific places since when he does, he starts to realize all the complications his chair will cause. He'd love a little more time with Raven and Erik somewhere. To see where Erik's from and just be with Raven.
Quentin: He wouldn't mind a short visit to where his parents are but can't, so tries not to think too hard about that. Someday he'd like to go to the Undersea and see Saltmist.
Moist: Traveling is what he loves and he'd enjoy going back to Emcee's Berlin and he's curious to see some of the other big cities on Earth.
Sameth: He's not really a traveler, he did a lot of it for school and he prefers riding around the Old Kingdom. He wants to visit every Charter stone and find all that history and truly understand all he can.
William: There's so much of the world and the US and other worlds that William wants to see but I think he'd start with NYC or London, because he's read about them. Maybe Paris too if someone like Bahorel was showing him around.
Jane: Jane's another who would like to travel more, go to the safer parts of Europe, into the highlands of Scotland. She's been able to do some traveling but its all mainly in England. More of London, this time with her sister.
Demeter: She can actually travel on her own and often does, there's no where she'd like to go but for any pups interested in seeing modern France or sunny beaches near charming villages, she's happy to help.
Ivan: He's done a fair bit of traveling and is actually planning on doing more. My plan for his future and canon's seems to be him as a diplomat. There's nowhere he really has his mind set on, wherever Tej wants to go.
Tumnus: Tumnus enjoys getting to know Narnia and Archenland better but he doesn't have anywhere that he wants to go.
For me, I want the money to go visit my nephew in France.

There's a certain island Kylo would like to visit but he doesn't know where it is yet. :(
