Hey! Do ya'll remember that handcuffs plot that never got off the ground because it was too complicated? Well, I'm here to present a simpler version for Valentine's weekend, next Saturday/Sunday/Monday!

Bar is feeling whimsical, so she decides to handcuff people together based on who eats food from her that day. She presents free candy hearts as an antidote without telling people that's what it's for. Once people eat food and pass each other, they'll be handcuffed together. Feel free to handwave whether or not pups have eaten.

Obviously the handcuffs are unbreakable and inescapable by magic or force, and pups cannot damage each other--though they can damage themselves. We encourage all attempts at escape, however futile they are. (Please DM each other first. This won't work well without excellent communication!) "Pups cannot damage each other" is literal. For example, Pup A may try to cut Pup B's hand off, but they will fail. All pups are immune to physical and magical damage from their cuff-partner. Similarly, the cuffs will fit on any pup.

There are three ways out of this:

1. Eating the free candy hearts that Bar provides as an antidote. Only one person per cuffed pair needs to eat the candy.

2. One lucky patron will be presented with a key to all the cuffs. The key will only work if both people want to be freed from their cuffs.

3. Waiting the three days it takes for Bar to release everyone.

Last time there were concerns brought up about pups going to the loo. Feel free to handwave or make that as complicated as you wish!

There will be a mixture of choosing your own partners and a lottery, so no one feels that they've been picked last. Feel free to use this post to find partners or present your pups for the lottery.

I love this idea! Question: can these be long-chain handcuffs/manacles or are they by definition standard short-chain cuffs?

I am willing to have Seimei participate in this plot. I'd like him to be paired up with someone he hasn't met before (and whose mun is happy with slowtimes). If your pup would react to this situation by freaking out and attempting to hurt Seimei, that is totally fine. He won't even take it personally.

As Write said, Javert and Enjolras are gonna be handcuffed together for a bit. THEY'LL BOTH BE SO OVERJOYED.

Other than that, we'll see -- I cheerfully could, but I'm also going to be out of town for a lot of the weekend, so I might play any others by ear come Monday.

I'm going to have to pull out of this plot. A close family friend died yesterday and their memorial is going to be next weekend, so I won't have the time. I look forward to reading when I'm able to.
