I'd say that your characters don't fully fit their time and place and are on the outside. Some of them are more aware of looking in and not fitting like Segundus and Liz, while others it comes out as awkward like Marius. Hotspur and Viola know how to fit in but in their own particular ways.

The majority of your cast list is made up of complicated supporting characters. Not in every episode, but with a very interesting narrative arc.

Curtis and Olivia are the outliers there, as I'd consider them stars of their particular media.

- involve a lot of worldbuilding

(And, frankly, even though I wish this weren't true, the characters of mine that have ended up getting the most time here are...young white dudes.)

Usually good guys--and when they're not, ~always bad guys who truly meant to be good guys once and got lost along the way. Angsting and morally ambiguous dads (or dad-figures) are an entire sub-type of mine. I suspect an overall trend is 'intense passion and drive, whether in general or in service to their goal'. Another subtype of mine is 'd'aww That Nice Kid.' Another seems to be overly-intelligent, manipulative asshole. I also have an entire sub-type of 'child of the protagonist' going, especially if that child graduates to protagonist. And yes, I do like my protagonists. I also seem to like my love interests of protagonists.

Oh, and almost all of my female characters are more level-headed or mentally healthy than the male ones.

The fun part is where these character types start overlapping.

EDIT: Oh yeah, also 'child of destiny'/'lost heir' type. I like those.
