Weekend Entertainment: Forest bathing

It's late in the morning now but I can't resist.

The Japanese have a wonderful word/concept called shinrin-yoku, which translates to forest bathing. The basic idea is how a visit to a forest will invigorate or restore you.

Using this as a topic, what are some of the areas, natural or not, that your pup finds restoring or invigorating?

Amascut - the sand dunes near where the forests of Ullek used to stand. She saw it when it was lush and full of life, she saw how quickly it dried up after her father's self-sacrifice, and she saw Ullek crushed by war. Now it is made up of so many ancient rocks pulverized into countless grains of sand and piled up by the wind. It's powerful and has a very deep history.

Fairy Fixit - Well there is the large semihidden clearing in the Zanarian forest that can be used to access the Cosmic Altar's pocket universe. It has a lot of megalithic monuments in it and despite the economic importance of that particular pocket universe, it's quiet there. There are faster ways of getting to the Cosmic Altar than making a trip all the way to the moon and then navigating the Zanarian forests. Most people are in and out in a few seconds. Watching people pop into and out of existence is fun whenever the quiet becomes boring.

Enjolras does not care about forests or nature. He doesn't dislike it, he just doesn't care either way. ("He hardly saw a rose, he ignored the spring, he did not hear the birds sing; [...] to him, as to Harmodius, flowers were good only for hiding the sword" is one translation of the canonical quote, minus a more opaque classical allusion, and the one I happen to have handy.) Being in the middle of the city invigorates him. Any city, to some extent, but... Paris. As usual with him I mean Paris.

Cosette, however, loves flowers and spring and nature! Particularly gardens. Any kind of cultivated orchard or garden will delight her.

Thor loves anywhere where he can just go for a long hiking/hunting/cutting loose trip with friends. In Asgard, I think that mostly means forest or mountains or both at once. But he'd enjoy wilderness anywhere, really. Large animals trying to kill him are no barrier to his enjoyment.

Kazul likes caves. Conveniently, she also lives in some. The open air is also pretty great, and she'd get cranky pretty quickly if she had to go too long without being able to fly.
