DE: Memory Lane, pt. 2 -- Look Back In ... What?

Now imagine the opposite of yesterday's DE: your charrie has been absent from Milliways from many years and now returns, decades older, to their old haunt. Munnin did that recently with Sinric, for reference.

What has changed for them, how have they changed? Will people recognise them? Is it painful for them to return, or are they glad for the closure?

Let the angst flow -- or hilarity ensue, depending. Bonus rubber points for pictures and/or extant icons.

I am actually pondering doing this with Knox, shoving him to the present day to jumpstart his play. A ton of stuff will have changed, but I haven't really gotten to what has changed for him specifically as much as his world. It's really daunting.

I've considered this with Ellen a time or two. Wanted to avoid trying anything until after Fallout 4 came out. Mind you I've already been jossed by canon- certain people are still alive in Ellen's world who died shortly after FO3 ended, according to FO4 canon, and nobody destroyed Vault 87 the way Theresa of the Faint Smile and Fawkes did- but I still wanted to see what I could use. And I never really wanted to jump more than five or so years, anyway. Decades later would require a WHOLE LOT of background material to be written; the Fallout universe changes fast once a player character is active in it.

Seimei would be...um...probably not all that different. Immortality, y'know.

Now, give it a couple of centuries, and he may change a lot.

Speaking for the active pups...
Rollo is old and getting ready to embrace the last mystery; to see if it is Thor or Christ he will find. He has built a duchy and a legacy in Normandy, though he misses his brother. He does regret having to cut the ties to his past but would pay them all over again. He hopes to find his brother when he finds Milliways again, especially if they can share a horn of mead or ale.

It's been nearly twenty years since Izana found Milliways. They are much more confident and have found their place the battle field. More importantly, humans have found a world to colonize. They and their partner/mate have left behind nearly 2/3rds of the population of Sidonia behind to lead a new crew back into space to find another home, and perhaps one of the other seedships that set out from Earth so long ago.

Without getting into spoilers too much, Ahsoka is finally at peace and has accepted she can't do anything more in the galaxy. Being a Force ghost can change your perspective. She likely will try her best to befriend her old master within Milliways, hoping to remind him of the good within him and, likely, failing.

Eliot, again with trying to avoid spoilers, has found something to believe in again. A purpose to his life. He is still himself though perhaps a bit less catty.

Any way you look at it, how ever Emcee survives the war -- if he emigrates before/during the war or if he makes it out of the camps alive -- he's going to be burdened with so much sadness. Finding Milliways again would probably be painful, but he'd be grateful for it anyway. He still smiles and laughs through the pain but anyone who knew him would notice that he's not the same and never will be.

Something tells me neither Tess nor Kylo will be around in a few decades.

Eriond does not change. He might be god of his whole planet by then. He'll be happy.

Henry, after decades? Man. Probably not immediately recognizable. Who knows what his status would be by then.

Evelyn might be recognizable. Maybe. Assuming she lives that long (thanks for that Solas). SO MUCH WILL HAVE CHANGED she will be down a limb and pissed and much stronger personality.

Lois... might be recognizable! And always happy to see the Bar. She hopes by then she'll finally have managed to get married.

R2-D2 is always and forever recognizably R2-D2. After decades, though, he might be [SPOILER ALERT!!!!!] in a temporary coma for the protection of one of his favorite humans.

Tavi will look almost the same as he does now for the next, uh, twenty years, and then start accumulating grey hairs but still look pretty young. Like, might look in his late forties when he's eighty. He has Cheatium. He is always happy to see the Bar, will be recognizable, and won't be too much different than he is now, except that he'll be slightly calmer and way more secure in himself.

Anakin Skywalker: I will in fact give him about fifteen year away from the Bar eventually. I do have an icon for that second period of his life. There may well be yet another many-years gap occurring later, after which he will need a third set of icons. I do not have an icon for after that gap--but rumor has it I may generate one in, oh, about a year.

...... I'm too busy laughing hysterically to answer the rest of the question for him. You already know it anyway.

My headcanon for Dixie is that she responds to the slow death of vaudeville by opening her own movie palace. Between that and looking after Brisco (who is probably a sheriff by now) and their children she's very, very happy.

Clementine probably moved to Miami with Sam and is married to him. They're living Below The Means They Might Have Had Had Sam Managed To Snag Another Sugar Momma, but they're super happy when they're not long-suffering and dealing with Mike's Mike-ness.

Juliet made chief for sure, and Shawn and Gus are probably still consulting for them. She and Shawn have kids and are married at that point, too. And a dog!

Eponine has formed herself into a formidable advocate for children. i don't know if she'd find another man to love but IDK if she's successful.

Pinkie has taken over the Cake's shop and probably still stretches herself thin alll over Equestria trying to bring joy.
