DE: Six degrees of cross over

Inspired by news of Clive Standen's next acting gig, what are some of the cross-overs your pup's actress/actor or PB has had with other canons within Milliways? Or, in case nothing comes to mind, if another round of the IMDB flu* came around, what are some of the possible people your pup might think they were?

*For anyone who hasn't experienced the IMDB flu, the basic idea is it's an illness that causes the pup to think they are someone else, based on other rolls the actress/actor/PB has played before.

Noriko has told Emcee about Kurt Wagner, even though it's a different X-Men universe. Still pretty amusing that they both find him hot. (The comics versions have always been hot, even when he was a priest, just saying.)

BTW, the museum I work at had a preview for a new show and Alan Cumming was here, but I missed him and didn't get his photo. (I work with the photographer, so it would have been entirely professional.)

Shephard's had the most crossovers of anybody among my pups, PB-wise, because I picked John Cusack for him. If nothing else, he exists in Homestuck as Troll John Cusack.

Ellen doesn't have PB crossovers unless somebody brings a character from Coffee Prince (a Korean daytime TV program) or Chocolate (the Thai beat-the-crap-out-of-people movie, not the one set in France) into the Bar.

Gordon has had one or two crosses because I picked Benno Furman for him; Benno played Inspector Detector in the live-action Speed Racer movie. I have seen two other movies with Benno Furman in them and used one, The Mutant Chronicles, for a past IMDB flu. (The other was a German horror movie called Anatomy in which Benno played a medical student who I think was murdering people in horribly unlikely ways. I didn't stick around for all of it.)

Fawkes is represented entirely by game images and fan art. I don't know what else his voice actor has done, other than pretty much every other voiced supermutant in several Fallout games.

Wee Mad Arthur is also represented by game images and fan art. Which is probably for the best, really.

El Santo has only had crossovers with other pups in that they've seen his movies in their universes. Which is fine, because El Santo is the only character El Santo has ever played.

Hernan Guerra/Superman is voiced by Benjamin Bratt, who has not had a lot of crossovers with other Bar pups, but whose Manny character in Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs was an inspiration for Manny Redondo, our Half-Life Resistance pilot NPC. That... may be something.

I don't know what other work Varric's voice actor has done, alas, so he's basically just had crossovers within his canon and is unlikely to be given IMDB flu in future.

Stacker Pentecost had an interesting time of it on Halloween a while back when the Bar decided he really needed to look like Heimdall for the day. And in future it is going to be even more interesting because Idris Elba has been cast as Roland Deschain...

Enjolras: Aaron Tveit has been in a bunch of stuff, but mostly on Broadway. I think Grease! is the only one that crosses over with someone else in Milliways -- right? I know we used to have folks from Rent and Wicked too, but I'm not sure that's still the case. Anyway, I've never done IMDB flu with him before because I didn't know any of the potential characters well enough, but I do admit Danny Zuko would be hilarious.

Cosette: hahahahaha Lilly Kane? Who isn't active these days, but used to be a major figure in the bar.

Other than that, Amanda Seyfried has been in a lot, but I'm not sure the other canons are represented in Milliways.

Kazul doesn't have a PB.

Thor: at some future point, he can be the Ghostbusters' receptionist! Which will delight me enough to possibly even do it. But that movie's not out yet, so... I mean, there's always George Kirk from the Star Trek reboot. I think that's it for current crossovers; we had some lookalike confusion with the Huntsman from Snow White and the Huntsman back when the Huntsman was in the bar, but that was a while ago.

X doesn't have a PB. I could do one of her voice actors, but there's not really an alternate role that interests me. Tara Strong is Batgirl, Raven, Harley Quinn, and a couple of others. I think Black Canary, too? And X's voice from OH WAIT. X's voice actresses include Tara, who is Twilight Sparkle, and also the woman that voices Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy from MLP. So. That's a crossover!!! Wow.

Ysalwen's PB is Emilia Clarke, so I guess she could be Daenerys or Sarah Connor, but there's not a lot of canon crossover there.

Dean Winchester is played by Jensen Ackles, who voiced The Red Hood in the animated Red Hood movie, so. Crossover weirdness there! Ahahahahaha.

Flemeth is -- she could weird Captain Kirk out by being Captain Janeway and looking like Flemeth while behaving like a Starfleet Officer? Or OITNB she could be Red. No crossover there, though.

Michael doesn't have a canon crossover very well, though she would if we had people from the L word, Young Americans, or Dexter!

Wonder Woman has been voiced by both Rosario Dawson and Cobie Smulders in different properties, so she could be Claire Temple or Maria Hill! Um.

Nynaeve is Angelina Jolie, so. Uh. Tigress? Lara Croft? Mrs. Smith? No good crossovers that I can think of, though. (ACID BURN.)

Galadan's PB is a non-actor model, so. NO ONE. FREEDOM. Um.

Raven is Adam Beach and Irene Bedard so. Uh. No hilarious crossovers but some neat characters!

Steve needs to be Lucas Lee (see how I get things right when I look them up?) at some point. NEEDS. Though I like varadia's suggestion of Jensen from The Losers. He'sn ot quite the anti-Steve, but he's just enough not like Steve to make it fun.

For Furiosa, I'm astounded at how few of Charlize Theron's movies I have seen. Making her Aeon Flux for the day would kind of be a non-challenge, wouldn't it? Maybe the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Huntsman for kicks and giggles.

As for Sherlock ... oh, KHAAAAAAN. Even though that movie was a massive disappointment. I am excited to see Bendybatch as Dr. Strange, though, and I expect Sherlock would get an enormous kick out of being the Sorcerer Supreme for a day. (Also, should anyone want to bring in Dr. Strange, I am up for face-twin shenanigans. La.)

AND. I have just seen that he's been cast as Thomas Edison in a movie about The Current War. Where's a Tesla when you need one?

Rollo: Clive Standen has been tapped to play a younger Bryan Mills for the Taken prequel TV series. Standen has also played Gawain in Showtimes' Camelot and a character named Telemon in the Atlantis TV series, just to name a couple.

Izana: Their English voice actress is Melissa Fahn who voiced Edward from English dub of Cowboy Beebop, though she was credited as Melissa Charles then. She also voiced Gaz from Invader Zim. Frankly, she has a pretty long list of roles.

Their Japanese voice actress is Toyosaki Aki, who has played a lot of roles as well. The roles that jump out at me are Seilah from Fairy Tale and Blondie from the Japanese dub of Sucker Punch.

Ahsoka: Ashley Eckstein also voiced Dagger in Ultimate Spider-man. She has a lot of other credits but none are jumping out at me.

Sabine: Let's see, Tiya Sircar has Walking with Dinosaurs, Witches of East End, and The Vampire Diaries listed on her IMDB page. I am not familiar with any of these shows but they each have potential.

Hank: Nicholas Holt has been a troubled teen (Skins), a humble farmboy (Jack the Giant Killer), a zombie (Warm Bodies), and a warboy (Mad Max: Fury Road). That last one would be the cross over most like.

Sam: Anthony Mackie has Hurt Locker, Million Dollar Baby, and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to his name, as well as a lot more, but I kinda love the idea of him thinking he's a street level rapper (8 Mile).

Andrew Scott (Jim) and Philip Glenister (Gene) are both in the new series of The Hollow Crown later this year, though sadly won't get to interact with Hal and Hotspur's characters as they are dead. :\ Benedict Cumberbatch is also in the episode with Andrew Scott though, so castmate crossover reunion there!

Hugh Jackman (Valjean) crosses over with X-Men movie!verse for playing Wolverine.

My brain is too dead to figure out the others, say sorry.

Three of mine share the same PB, James McAvoy who's been in a lot of stuff. I always enjoy having doppelganger mixups and have had Will and Tom Lefroy from Becoming Jane be mixed up. Will's also thought he was MacBeth from Shakespeare Retold. I haven't done IMDB flu with Charles as with his telepathy, I think it would make him uncomfortable. When we had Band of Brothers pups, there was crossover as James McAvoy appeared in one of the episodes. I can't think of other crossovers but know they've happened.

Moist is another one with lots of IMDB and crossover options because Jude Law has been in a lot of stuff. When we had a Watson from the RDJ movies, there wasn't a lot of confusion but a little. I think that's the only crossover so far for him. IMDB flu is always fun with him but like my James McAvoy boys hard to pick which character.

William's actor Logan Lerman was also in the Percy Jackson movies so when we had that cast, he crossovered with them. I haven't done IMDB flu with him for a while as he's mainly been in romantic comedies or movies I haven't seen.

Jane is Anne Hathaway and technically she could crossover with the Les Mis pups as she and Fantine are similar looking. The other crossover and IMDB flu was when I had her think she was Selina Kyle from the Nolan movies. She's been in a number of movies so IMDB flu might be interesting with her.

Sameth's PB is a musician who's been in some British shows but nothing that we've had characters from.

Quentin's PB is a male model who hasn't been in anything.

Kate Winslet and Judi Dench for Demeter have been in a lot of different movies, but I don't think there's been any crossover. That tends to be oh you're not the Demeter I know. I don't think I've ever done IMDB flu with her though.

Ivan's PB is actually one of the villains in the first season of Agents of SHIELD. I had chosen him before seeing that show and it was weird to look at his face and realize that he wasn't behaving like Ivan. Nothing's happened with that in Bar and I'd have to look to see what else he's in, IMDB flu with Ivan could be interesting.

Asami's voice actress is Seychelle Gabriel, whose only crossover point is… having played Princess Yue in The Last Airbender movie. Which I think we'd rather all just forget, though I commemorate it through my headcanon that in the Avatarverse schools put on pageants of historical events like the Siege of the North, and in the one put on by Asami's school, she did play Princess Yue.

Katara's voice actress is Mae Whitman, who has been in many things, though I think the only crossover in Milliways is that she voiced April O'Neil in a TMNT cartoon. She stands out most in my mind for having played Roxie Richter in Scott Pilgrim.

Elle is played by Kristen Bell, and she and Veronica Mars annoyed the shit out of each other back in the day.

Will is played by Hugh Dancy... whose other acting work I have Never Characterized as Poor Man's Orlando Bloom, nope. (Have you seen Elle Enchanted? Do you know how bad it is??? It's REALLY BAD.) And yes he was in the King Arthur movie with Mads Mikkelsen and I... watched it... and remember that there were like hawks and people dying and many white dudes with dark hair wearing armor that I had a really hard time keeping track of. And I'm pretty sure Hannibal referenced the movie Blood and Chocolate, which is a very bad movie where he plays a floppy love interest stalker who then blames the werewolf girl he stalked for his having stalked her and I have NOT watched it four times and I do NOT own the bluray of it because I did NOT tell certain people they could buy it on Amazon for $4, that never happened shut up.

Yamato's various voice actors are all fairly venerable (especially his most recent one, Yoshimasa Hosoya, anime's go-to guy for deep, growly voices) but I'm not sure there's been much crossover in-bar. His English VA, Michael Reisz, played Legolas once in a video game? Yoshimasa is the Japanese voice of Jacob Black in the Twilight films, and I think we had a Jacob in-bar once? Not a gigantic amount of crossover among bar pups there.

Oh, and he played Abe no Seimei once, who we do have in-bar. I just saw that. It was in Warriors Orochi, which is apparently an excellent video game insofar that it is a terrible video game.

Sherral speaks only in mute text boxes, so, I mean, any pups who aren't voice-acted or are from books technically share a voice actor with him. Technically. So, I mean, loads of crossover in-bar. Just - lots. Lots and lots.

Hawke is voice acted by Nicholas Boulton, and I'm pretty sure none of his other roles have ever been in-bar. If I IMDB flu him, he'll probably be Kian Alvane, the serious and no-nonsense assassin-for-a-theocracy of the Dreamfall games.

Yugo is played by Atsumi Kanno, whose only other acting roles include playing a teenage prostitute who later gets paralysed by - another Kamen Rider actor; a teenage delinquent who is involved in a feud with - another Kamen Rider actor; and most recently a young man who has an apartment with a peephole to a room shared by another Kamen Rider actor and I think they end up having sex? Not seen the film. Looked weird. No crossover in-bar. Not much IMDB flu potential.

Tess would be recognizable as Jack (Jacqueline) of And the Beanstalk fame in Once Upon a Time. And Sage, if we have any Vampire Diaries players but I don't think we do.

Kylo, I think, is pretty cross-over free as far as Milliways goes.
