You're a wizard

Let's try for a bit of fun today. Ignoring Ol' JK's poorly fleshed out American wizarding schools, let's instead look at what fan have put together based on Old Spice deodorants. (Link is to a Tumblr post which should be safe for work and only has one medium sized image.)

So, what's your pup's House? And, if you feel up to it,, how does this AU affect your pup?

I would say that Seimei is a founding member of what eventually became the Japanese wizarding school of Mahoutokoro. It's plausible, given his role in Japanese magical history.

FYI, I think he technically qualifies as a half-blood, since his father was by all accounts a vanilla mortal.

Tess is in Hawkridge. She's a prefect.

Kylo has Foxcrest written all over him. He'd probably still be a loner and a great Legilimens.

Sariel is very much a Wolfthorn.... although she's not American, or even North American. Geographically at least, she'd be a student at Castelobruxo, although that school had better have translation charms all over the buildings and grounds, given the vast number of languages its students speak, wow. Ditto translation charms all over Beaubatons, Durmstrang, and especially Ouagadou, because my goodness!

You know, given Lucian ties to Britain and France, it's not beyond the realm of plausibility for Sariel to end up attending Beaubatons, or even Hogwarts. Beaubatons seems the better fit, frankly. That'd make somewhat more linguistic sense than Castelobruxo would, although a few continental French speakers among the Beaubatons students might give her grief for her patois. Not that she'd let that bother her one bit. :)

Amascut is solidly Bearglove, though she prefers fire to earth. But, it is more likely that she is teaching at an illicit offshoot/rival of the Uagaduo School, just as skilled as Uagaduo at training Animagi but NO CATS ALLOWED. Beside Amascut herself, anyhow.

Clint - Bearglove (he has Hawkridge level patience, but not their strict love of truth except when seeking reports from junior agents). In Hogwarts: Hufflepuff.

Chuck - Bearglove. In Hogwarts: Gryffindor.

Darcy: 500% Foxcrest. In Hogwarts: either Ravenclaw or Slytherin fit her halfway, so it would depend on her biases.

Melinda: Wolfthorn. She acts in many ways more like a Hawkridge, as she is often a lone actor, but she is most at home in a team and can utilize their skills perfectly. In Hogwarts: She probably chose Ravenclaw when the hat gave her the choice between it and Hufflepuff, but she spends a fair amount of time in the Hufflepuff common room with her best friend Phil.

Sebastian: ... oh dear. Um. Wolfthorn, I guess. Hogwarts: Gryffindor or Hufflepuff -- he would choose whichever one shared the most classes with his sister's intended house (since he's going before her).

Quatre: Hawkridge (he often doesn't speak his mind, but he's willing to think it). Hogwarts: Slytherin, though given half a chance he'd persuade himself into Hufflepuff because of the nicer culture and overall better innocuous branding when encountering people later in life.

John Connor: Foxcrest, by forceful shaping. By nature alone he has some Foxcrest tendencies but is thoroughly a Bearglove. Hogwarts: Ravenclaw.

Legolas: ...Wolfthorn, I guess? Definitely with the fellow scouts and the Fellowship. Hogwarts: Gryffindor.
