Speaking of very silly holidays...
Hello, everyone!
With mod approval, I am hereby announcing Star Wars Day coming to a Milliways near you next month!
On May the 4th, your character will be presented with the option of dressing in costumes of your choice from the Star Wars universe. It's Milliways, so there's no reason not to get creative with species or whatever while you're at it.
EDIT: Belatedly occurring to me: Obviously people will want lightsabers to have mock bouts with or to go with costumes. While that seems fair, any and all lightsabers appearing for the day will be training lightsabers only, meaning you might get bruised by one but they are not actually deadly weapons.
Also, the Bar will be redecorated for the day to look like Ye Standard Cantina, complete with ridiculous band in the corner and whatever other Star Wars furnishings you care to include (holovids, games, 'no paper' rules, whatever).
I'll kick it off with a certain bratty Jedi Knight's entrance--and extreme displeasure--but obviously times are flexible. This is entirely for the lulz and has no plot attached, just silliness, a sort of party, and a little space fantasy fun for all.

(I love this!!!)

(It was a random thought that struck me. Maybe in future years it can get a little plotty, or have some variation, but I figured for a first year, simple and fun!)

And is it sinful to have Jim Kirk participate? Or has the JJ Abrams crossover made us all one big happy family? :)

And no, Alex. The Abrams crossover has not made us all one big happy intergalactic family. *coughs* Your light year-age may vary. :)
