I haven't posted the ol' T Minus sign-up reminder in a long time, but F everyone's I it's still a thing and still available. The directory of other characters who have one is here.

Pursuant to that, if you would like a floating chat bubble icon like this one and like other people have, I can make one for you. What I need from YOU is a relatively simple graphic symbol for your character in one or two colors that I can past into the template and animate. If you want to explore the depths of the character map and just put it in a comment rather than an image, feel free to do that, too. Just make sure I have the text color to go with it. If your character has a coat of arms or something, please simplify it into a single color outline-shape if you can--I would hate to cut out the most important detail because I don't know the canon well enough or something. I will probably be able to get to it this weekend.

There are also some generic T Minus icons in different colors here.

A quick question if I may, does this seem like it fits the t-minus standards? Not 100% committed to any of this and canon is likely to keep Izana from getting a unit for a bit, but it seems like something they'd enjoy. = ]

ETA: I just realized another question I need to ask. Izana is from a canon whose written language is one that is logographic (I am not familiar enough with Japanese writing to label which of the forms is shown in canon).

Would it be fair to assume the unit would need to mutant to show those symbols outside of Milliways thus allowing Izana to use the device when not in the bar? Or does it support whatever native written language the user understands?

Hmmm. There is... actually canon on this front, actually.

It's never clear if humans and trolls are speaking the same language through cosmic resonance or coincidence or magical translate function, but there IS a troll who speaks and writes only in Troll Japanese, which suggests to me that Izana would definitely be able to type/send messages in Japanese.

Nobody can understand poor Damara, which suggests that Trollian does NOT autotranslate, but since the server is in the bar I assume Izana get the benefit of the magical translation field?

My Homestuck knowledge is still stuck back in the beginning of Act 6 (and really fuzzy to boot) -- does T-Minus allow the user to attach photos or other files to their messages?

It allows for file transfers, but not a full-on social network stream, mostly because the start of the comic predates the real rise of social media. But you can definitely send a file transfer to a person or to anyone who wants to download it on a board. You can also put in links, but if you aren't from an internet-having canon you wouldn't be able to upload the file, I guess.

The format for that looks like this:

The T Minus unit does not traditionally come with a camera, but they are prone to mutation...
