 Hi everyone! I just had my app accepted for Noah (skatefree_diehard) from The Raven Cycle. I'm excited to get started here! 

But first, I had a bit of a question: Noah is pretty much a walking spoiler. Everything we know about him is ZOMG PLOT TWIST for a new reader, and I don't want to spoil anyone who intends to read but hasn't gotten around to it yet. How should I address this? I can easily put a warning for "walking spoiler" on the posts I make, but I don't know about tagging in to other people's threads? What do you guys think?

Hi, and welcome! :D!

Iiiii would recommend not worrying about it too much. Tags on EPs are a good idea, and people can always comment here if they'd rather hold off on conversation with him until they've read up. But don't let it stop you playing! Chances are some of our pups will chat to Noah and we'll end up reading his canon as a result, so spoilers are completely on us.

And some of us definitely HAVE read the books and already know the story of Mr. Smudgy One. So there's that :)

In the past, with my characters, I have erred towards putting a spoiler notes on posts that deal with the most recently released bits of canon (new episodes airing, new comic issues etc.), but I think with any character here there's a baseline assumption that you'll have to use potentially spoilery information in order to play.

Feel free to tag out, I say. We all have a lot of canons that other people haven't read or played, and aside from Giant Popular Movies it gets taken as read a lot that you're going to be spoiled for bits and pieces.

Tagging out is one of the best ways to get play and meet new people both IC and OOC, so I wouldn't limit yourself in that!

Welcome! Don't be afraid to tag out. Everyone here makes some amount of spoilers for their canons, and it's likely that you may get someone to read the Raven Cycle from them.
