Monday DE

(Shows up late without Starbucks.)

Good morning, at least if you're in places where it's still morning like me. Since it is a holiday here in the US, and I'm currently preping for a party later tonight, how does your pup feel about gatherings and parties? Do they love to do all the prep work and cooking? Or would they rather just show up? Do they come willingly or are they dragged to parties?

Hawke: Hawke doesn't willingly show up at parties, because he's not a social butterfly and because he'd rather have a drink in a quiet corner of a dive bar than go anywhere near a party. Other people who are close to him and who have poor (or amazing) planning skills drag him to parties.

Depending on how patient Hawke is feeling, at some point in the evening the person who dragged him to the party probably starts to regret that particular poor life choice. Or, if they brought him because they specifically and vindictively hate everybody else there, they probably quite enjoy themselves.

It's a shame Hawke has never gotten to go to an Orlesian party, because he'd probably actually really enjoy it. Nobody else attending would, but.

Yamato: Doesn't organise parties, and probably doesn't really go to them - like, even his own band's afterparties are probably suspiciously Yamato-free.

The exception is if somebody else he really likes - so one of the other Chosen, or a few people at Milliways - were to ask him. Mimi has probably wrangled him into helping organise a few massive parties, and he maybe hasn't hated that.

Sherral: As an imperial officer, Sherral was expected to attend - and sometimes assist in organising - military and diplomatic functions, and the parties of powerful politicians. As a lower-ranked Judge, this is now expected of him even more, because the Ministry of Law has to be able to project social power on top of its legal and military power.

He hates them. He hates all of them. He enters with a vague notion that he should not be entirely dissatisfied if the entire venue caught on fire, and leaves with an actionable plan of how to make that a reality brewing in the back of his mind.

Eliot loves parties and will gladly take part in any prep work that needs doing. Chances are he'll end up taking over the bar as well, even if it's not his party.

Ahsoka strikes me as not liking parties. She is more about adventures than socializing.

Sabine is all for good times if there is good music, and especially if there is art involved. She'd be all over decorating for the event, but not much else. Actually, I could see her DJing as well. And if you want fireworks, she's your gal.

Rollo loves gatherings but prefers to show up to them rather than helping with the prep work.

Amelia is another for parties and having a good time, but don't expect her to do prep or clean up. She'll hire people to do that stuff.

Hank would be willing to do prep work but would need clear instructions. He'd be a wall flower during the party, though he'd want to be having fun. In the future though, he'd likely be the life of the party and make sure everyone present is having fun. He'd be good at recognizing if people want to be left alone however.

Sam is another party guy. He's more casual than Eliot or future Hank though. He'd also be happy to help with prep or clean-up, likely even volunteering.

Selina shows up to parties, whether invited or not. She doesn't do prep or clean up, and might be likely to pocket a valuable or two unless she likes the hosts.

Izana is one for parties, though not hosting them. Second season Izana might be more inclined to have a good time, tbh. They're the one who sticks around to help with clean up as well.

Touji is another party guy and very willing to help out (if asked). He is not likely to host parties, at least not yet.

[Also, I do mean to get back to tags, likely tomorrow though as today is taken with prep and party.]

Emcee loves parties. There are different kinds of parties he throws. Aftershow parties in his dressing room or in his apartment consist of liquor, drugs, and sex, so little to no prep work is involved, ahaha. But if he's hosting something more traditional, he likes organizing things and delegates friends to help out with the prep work. As for attending other people's gatherings, he always seems to show up fashionably late, but with a bottle of booze if he can score it. He will inevitably end up the life of the party.

Pam hates parties. Unless there's willing food there.

Floki is a bit anti-social when it comes to gatherings. Like getting him to actually attend would take some convincing. But once he's there, get enough alcohol in him and he'll loosen up.
