Harry Potter canon makes a big deal about wands; their construction and personalization. What sorts of materials would your pup's personal focus device be made of? And would it be a wand or some thing else?

Ahsoka (Thanks SW Celebration for reawakening her): Has a focus device that is made of metal and complex circuitry which centers around a crystal. That crystal in turn amplifies plasma. Yes, her focus is a light saber. Are you surprised?

Sabine: She has a device made of plastic and metal, which uses pressurized air to blast pigments into the air in various controlled bursts; i.e. a paint gun that seems to work like an air brush.

Eliot: While I am tempted to say he has a silver rectangular shaped device that is hollow and can hold liquids (a flask), I think if he had to translate to a world that needed foci for magic, he'd have a set of rings with various precious metals and stones. They would be elegant in design, though I can see one being kitschy for contrast.

Selina: I'm going to go with her Slytherin self and say it is a willow wand with a core of chimera hair. Though manticore is a possibility.

Izana: Bamboo or maybe maple, with a komainu (lion dog) main core.

Touji: Wands don't fit his canon's magic but I'll go with an oak wand, 8" with an oni main core.

Sam: Willow with a falcon feather core.

Rollo: Ash with a bear fur core.

Hank is scoffing because none of this is scientific. (Cedar with a silver core.)

Cool and I'm jealous! I've got the youtube video of the panel bookmarked but I've read the highlights and I am very much looking forward to playing with the three unpublished story arcs. = ]

I also might be working of photoshopping a screen cap from s6 into the s7 concept art. (See icon for first pass.)

ETA: Just saw the Rebels season 03 trailer. Thrawn!!! Sabine not only gets a jetpack, but the Dark Saber!!! (Flaily hands) And holy shit, is that a Nightsister spirit?!?!?

I've written Amascut as preferring a staff rather than a wand, specifically the Staff of Light, since it doubles as a naginata. At least, that is when she isn't casting barehanbed, as she tends to do. I don't really know what the pole is made from. Unicorn horn sounds a tad excessive, then again she has a excessively murderous streak. On the other hand, it might be woven desiccated spinal cords of strikewyrms. Or maybe it just wood from an Elder tree with magic enhancing inlays. The blade on the end, however, has to be a metal or alloy that can handle her world's magic without shaking to pieces, so Elemental ore is involved somehow. It is slightly radioactive (and thus attuned to her world's chaos magic) due to having survived two nuclear explosions.

Her dad was the other nuke, in case you are wondering.

I'll have to examine some gameplay video, but I am tempted to say that Fairy Fix keeps around a miniaturized Holy Wrench. It is good at making the ghost in a machine compliant.
