Monday DE: What's on your dash?
And the start of another week. I hope everyone had a better weekend than I did. I spent my sick and looks like it's spilling into today.
Today's topic is simple but a fun one, what's on the desktop of your computer/phone/laptop/etc?

Phone: Lock screen is Peridot looking disapproving, home screen is some storm clouds. Sensing a theme here.
Home laptop:
A picture of Sabine from The Lost Commanders episode.Sorry, I've had that Sabine shot for so long I didn't even look to make sure it was still my desktop. I changed it recently and now it's the cover art for Sanctuary of Wings by Marie Brennan.no subject
Home: More Hamilton fanart! (I am nothing if not on-brand.) Digging through my Tumblr likes has proved useless in locating it, but it's Aaron Burr and the line "between the sinners and the saints." It's very pretty. Trust. :D?
Phone: So about two years ago, I had an interview for a job I really, really wanted, and it led to me obsessively checking my phone every five minutes to see if they'd called me back. It hit a point where I said, "You know what? If I'm going to be a constant stressball about this, at least I ought to see something soothing every time I check my phone."
I didn't get the job -- but to this day, that's why I have Baymax holding a lollipop as my wallpaper.

My iPad lock screen is a picture of my little black cat Roo stretched out across a pillow. She looks almost like she's doing a cheesecake pose.

My desktop is two pictures of Loki. The smaller one's been the same since I bought the machine. The bigger one's more recent, but still been there a long time.
My iPad is Thor and Loki, which I set on my first gen, when I got it second-hand right after Thor 2 came out. When I upgraded and iCloud moved my pics over, I never bothered changing them to something new.
My phone is two pages from the tie-in comics, which I set I set on my old 4G. Same deal as with the iPad.
I think the desktop tells the story, though. I don't have desktop icons, because I don't spend any time on the desktop anyway, so I forget the pics are even there. There have been a few times when I'd accidentally minimise my desktop, and get startled by the face looking back at me. On my phone and iPad, I tend to switch apps by swiping back and forth, rather than going to the home screen usually. It's just so out of sight, out of mind that I forget it's a thing that can be changed, I guess.
In other news, it has gone from 105° to 49°. I fucking hate the Northwest.

Laptop: the NYC skyline.
Phone: lock screen - TARDIS exterior; wallpaper - TARDIS interior, Twelfth Doctor edition.

Computer: Codex Alera map. Good for when I need a reference while writing.

Desktop: it's set to some rotating white wallpapers of things like tulips and snowy days.
Work desktop: corporate branding!
Tablet: a "You should be writing!" reminder with four of the Avengers being stern at me, as both wallpaper and lock screen. (I took some awfully cute picture of my baby niece this weekend, though, so that may change.)
Phone: chibi Spiderman and Deadpool fanart, saying "Unlock us please!" as the lock screen, and Deadpool using Spidey's web while Spidey looks on disapprovingly as the wallpaper.
