Well, this weekend is my 12th Milliversary. give or take a day. And to celebrate, and also to mark the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, I have a much younger Kirk in the sandboxes. Hard to believe Trek's aroung that long, and still going somewhat strong.

I got (another) new job, though it doesn't start for a couple more weeks. Hopefully, I'll be able to juggle them both.

I finished the first draft to my next book, which is where I've been all week. It would up being a lot longer than I expected it to turn out, and will probably get even longer now that it's time to start pulling it apart and fixing everything.

For my father's birthday, I made homemade Italian bread and an almost flourless chocolate cake. I'm working on a fact checking book that's going well and mainly enjoying having more time to sleep this weekend.

It finally feels like Fall here thanks to the leftover storm. I'm also thinking about starting Ivan through Brothers at Arms and doing more with some of my quieter pups. I recently finished a fic for an exchange that's woken up my writing brain some.

Camping on the floor of my new apartment, munching cold pizza. My furniture doesn't arrive for another two days so for now, I'm just chilling, exploring and living on take out.

The new place is lovely - larger and cheaper than my place in Sydney but still being fixed up.

There was a leak just before I signed the lease so the flooring had to be ripped up and replaced. When I arrived last night the laminate in the lounge and dining room wasn't done but they're fixing that right now, which is why I'm hiding in my room, out of the way.
