I did stuff!

Fight club was a day late but I discovered that a good way to get hits for your pup is to include a dog in the tag.


Rollo came in and I had him reading Dr. Seuss in Old English. It's fun playing around with books for him to read from since Bar can provide any translation to any book I can imagine. =)


Also pushed forward slowtimes and app'd a new pup I am hoping will be fun and lighthearted:

I swear Sinric is like, "Holy Hell, he's going to screw it up. I only taught him one phrase, but he will mispronounce it in such a way that it will be a dire insult and we will be flayed alive for it."

Then he's like, "Okay, he got out the first word and didn't immolate."

Finally, he's like, "He did it. I am so proud of him. I knew he could do it all along."

This past Wednesday I saw and met Alan Cumming at the New York Public Library where he did a talk and book signing. One of the questions that the interviewer read had been sent in by Isaac Mizrahi, the fashion designer, who asked if Alan would ever want to design clothing. Alan went into detail about how the older he'd gotten the more he liked less constrictive clothing, hence, a line of publicly acceptable pajamas that you can wear to the office or to a party or if you're drunk you can just come home and fall into bed.

For those of you who have been following along, my AU older!Emcee...actually likes wearing pajamas. And it also inspired the Fic Friday prompt and resulting fic.

So there's a thing that can happen in Dragon Age where you "harden" certain characters. (It's less dirty than it sounds; it just means you toughen 'em up a little and, in Alistair's case, help facilitate him finally growing a spine/being more willing to claim the throne.) In Alistair's world state, that hadn't happened yet.

But it's finally happened in-bar.

This week in Milliways, I.... did very little. Sunshine and Ragnar talked about remembering their other selves from AU weeks, and Sunshine gave Autor advice on dealing with PTSD, anxiety and anger.

For the most part, though, I had no brain with which to thread. But! I just had a lovely weekend where I ran away to the woods and did nothing but pick muscadines and sleep and play cards and knit and pet dogs, so I feel a lot better this week. I'm hoping to be around more.
