I need some help

Amazon is a cruel mistress, and isn't price matching one of my books because not enough people are reporting that it's free elsewhere. If you guys could go report it as being free, it would be much appreciated!

It will ask you for a URL for where the free book is located. Give it this one: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/466205

The book that needs to be reported:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MMZVIKW - US
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MMZVIKW - UK

Apparently this isn't a thing in all markets. :/

(Scroll down to the product details. There's a link that says "tell us about a lower price.")

If you have an account with another Amazon marketplace, and want to report it there as well, the link is pretty much the same across the board, with the exception of the top level domain.

Thanks, guys! :D

(And don't buy it, please. It sounds odd, but if Amazon sees an uptick in sales at the current price, it will continue to not be price matched.)

Done! And...I downloaded the free version. Because.

Why is Amazon charging for it if you wanted it to be free?

The German version doesn't have the 'cheaper elsewhere' option, sorry. It's not copyright infringement, it's not inappropriate content, it's something else which Amazon.de probably doesn't have as books are price controlled in Germany. Which is why German eBooks are frigging expensive, as the publishers have jointly decreed that no eBook shall be cheaper than a defined percentage of the current printed edition.

Well, the price control only applies to German books (original or translated), so they can price yours as they want. But that's why books or eBooks haven't got that option here.

I am not seeing the option for "cheaper elsewhere", perhaps because I've already bought it? I had forgotten I did that and need to read it now. = ]

I should add I'm looking on the US site and I did do a word search in case I just was missing it.

It's almost liek they don't want to know of lower prices.

Done and reported on the Canadian iteration of Amazon.
