Even worse: You're out shopping, and your first instinct is to look for prezzies for everyone your character knows in Milliways - ahead of the remaining relatives on your list.

No, Del. We cannot get my mother the bright neon bra. No, we cannot get it for my father either. And no, I know you think that frogs are great, but my grandmother will not appreciate a pet frog. She really, really won't.

(I actually did end up coming home with a frog habitat. I still don't know how. All I know is that it seemed like there was a good reason for it. And that I needed to order two frogs. And name one Sirius and on Skandra.

Because my character and I... neither one of us have the SLIGHTEST CLUE what we're getting people for Christmas.




... this is made worse by the fact that I know some of the presents she's getting, IC, and so I know what her presents have to compare with...
