Making a post for Akio...
Because he does not have access to the back room... yet...?
There are several people in the bar, now, (and I'm sure there will be more), who have received Akio's business card, or who otherwise know where his room at Milliways is located.
I am not around all the time, but Akio is/can be around all the time -- especially for visitors. So, here's what I've done, last night and from now on:
I've made several posts to his journal. They are simply him, at various times of the day, in his room. If your character wishes to visit/talk to him (when he is not in the bar... ooor even if he is in the bar ;; ), post a comment to the post of your choice. Please only post to an entry that has not been commented in yet, (this way, he can ensure that you have all the space or seclusion you need.). I will always have two or three uncommented-on posts, dated so that they are visible ahead of the already-commented-in posts. This way he can be in whenever you need him.
He'll reply whenever I see your comment, (I usually check my e-mail several times a day), and it can go in slowtime from there, or regularly, if we're both (etc.) around.
Unfortunately, while I will be here until tomorrow morning EST, I'm leaving on a trip for three days, during which I will have little or no internet access. If you post during that period, however, I will be sure to reply to everything when I get back Monday night.
