Friday's Antipodean DE
So yesterday was my birthday! Yeah me, I levelled up.
If someone asked your pup what they wanted for their birthday, what would they ask for? Something practical? Something frivolous? Something expensive seeing someone else is buying? Something cool and weird from a different world?

YT would actually appreciate practical things, like the latest pro thrasher gear (if she hasn't already bought it for herself). She'd also like fancy yarn since she's kind of into knitting these days.

Rollo would like two women and a few wine skins.
Ashoka seems practical minded, as far as stuff goes, but I can see Anakin always getting her impractical things that sort of are practical; like a fast Star fighter or landspeeder or light saber part.

Emcee doesn't want any gifts, only that you show up at his party and enjoy yourself.
I'm dreading the idea of Floki with a shiny new set of power tools.
Pam wants a credit card. It's easier that way.

William would like a book he's never read or heard of before and for cattle prices to stay high.
Quentin would want money to pick out some music he likes.
I'm not sure about the others at the moment.

Jim just had a birthday and got Sherlock Holmes to make him a birthday cake. Sherlock. Holmes. It's perfect on so many levels. He was so chuffed. (And is going to take the piss forever, bwhahaha.)
(Or at least until January, when he'll return the favour and probably really enjoy it. Because he won't be beaten on the cake-making front.)
Normally he doesn't give a toss about birthdays, or gifts, because he hasn't ever had friends and he doesn't value Stuff anyway. The ideal present would be a really intricate crime to plot out and execute.

Sunshine would always choose something practical over something frivolous, and it doesn't have to be expensive. New kitchen gadgets are always great. She would also love weird things from different worlds.

Um.. I don't think Amascut would be truthful about what she wanted. Her answer would depend on who she was pretending to be. But if it was her actual birthday she'd likely slap the person asking for wasting their time on researching something such a trivial bit of really really ancient history. If it was her brother she'd slap him for being a sentimental fool.
Fairy Fixit would be happy with a whole set of teeth from an exotic critter from another world.

Enjolras doesn't need anything. No, really, your friendship and presence is gift enough. He could come up with a book or something if you really really want something to give...? (His fashionista friends are probably gonna buy/make/etc him clothing though, out of general sartorial despair.)
Cosette has a list ready, just give her a moment to think of it! She's happy to! She already gets pretty much whatever tangible stuff she wants, though, so it'll be carefully calibrated to what she thinks your budget is, and basically aimed at suggesting presents you'll enjoy giving her. Trinkets, gloves, fans, candies, all that kind of stuff.
Kazul really does not need presents, because she has a huge treasure cave already. Besides, when you're King of the Dragons, people give you random presents a lot anyway. If she likes you, she will request the favor of your presence at a party. You're welcome to bring her shiny and/or non-malevolently-enchanted things, but you don't have to.
Thor... huh. I mean, Thor also has all the tangibles he could ever want, really, but he understands wanting to Do An Occasion Properly. I don't think Asgardians really care about birthdays, so first he'd be like, "That's very kind, but we don't celebrate that holiday! No need. :D" If someone was insistent, he'd ask for weird food from their world, unless he had reason to think that their world contained seriously useful stuff he'd like to get his hands on (and wouldn't be causing an interplanetary incident by doing so.)
Doctor Dinosaur scorns your puny mammal holidays and also he would like a rocket launcher and an orbital death ray and a chocolate cake with raspberries and some meat popsicles. And Atomic Robo's head on a platter, for him to taunt and then blow up. Simple requests!

Joly is one of those terrible people who loves getting gifts, but really likes almost anything. Booze and food are really safe bets! And scarves and hats and weird novelty wind-up toys and ....really probably it's just easiest to buy him dinner. He'll be delighted by the gesture, either way.
Bahorel loves anything people make for him--short stories, sketches, rude cross-stitch, whatever. Never mind if it's good or not, if it's made seriously. He is not at all secretly a huge sap about people making art, and if it's for him he'll keep it forever, unless it's something that has to be eaten or similar.
Gringoire could use..like, anything, really. He's a bum. A good backpack would be amazing, though. (Djali expects food and pettins. But she expects that all the time. She is a very good goat and should have scritches whenever she wants, she is sure of it.)
