I can't decide if it would be a good (amusing) thing or a bad thing if Touji happens to be practicing some paper charms while this happens. Would the origami figures assume the nature of spell if they ate it?
ETA: In case it wasn't obvious, Touji's canon uses extensive use of paper and calligraphy for spells.
That could be very interesting and easy to arrange since Touji will be experimenting with man-made shikigami once I get back to him. I think I've figured out how I want to approach writing the next steps of his story.
Once More With Feeling: Some spell or magical illness sweeps across Milliways. Everyone infected finds themselves singing instead of simply talking.
- Only pup of mine I can see causing this is currently in the app process, but I am sure someone else could make it happen.
Translation field malfunction: for somer reason, the translation field isn't working for everyone and all they hear is the native language of the speaker.
- Sabine might be able to help with this as she's a genius with linguistics and language.
I do love the idea of a translation field malfunction. Everyone gets to hear everyone else as they truly sound, and imagine the quest to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it, when hardly anyone speaks the same language. :D:D:D
There are some crackplots that I miss and would love to see have a second life like the critter one, where a chair turned everyone who sat into it into an animal.
I feel like there must be something connected to the world of October Daye such as an infestation of pixies or bogeys that follow him in from Goldengreen one day.
Waaaaaay back in the day when I first joined, the 24 pups - and a few others - had a Liar Liar plot, where they could only tell the truth for 24 hours. That was a lot of fun!
I think YT and Gene should meet some time. I think they could be super-snarky to each other without the risk of actual bloodshed (unlike, you know, some other people).
I think they should too! Gene says he doesn't like gobby kids but he does really. She might be just the sort of teenager he can get along with. Not that he won't take the piss and tell her off a lot, but he does that with everyone and it generally means he likes them. :)
Ages ago someone suggested (I think it was you, Mine Host) doing a plot based on the Welcome to Night Vale episode "Antiques." Basically feral antiques would invade the bar.
I'm not sure how to make it interesting, though. I love WTNV, but they do tend to finish episodes by deus ex machina a lot.

Seimei would not so much help with it as accidentally cause it...

I'm charmed at the thought of the broom spell. In the episode, they never go into why the antiques go wild. it's just one of those Night Vale things.
