Her eyes had been thick with tears of pain from the scarification under her eye that branded her as property, but the brilliant blue of Ma'Vena's skin had been impossible to miss. The Twi'lek who would become her mother figure had knelt close to her and pulled Ibani into a tight embrace. Blue would come to mean comfort, affection, love for Ibani until Ma'Vena was taken away from her forever.
