Thursday DE: just this once...

What does your character get away with that they really shouldn't?

ETA: Is there anything your character doesn't get away with that you think they should?

The glib answer is "everything." Or at least everything he gets away with--which isn't everything he does!

The less-glib answer is probably how he charismas the world into believing the future he sees could be possible.

A differently glib answer is whatever the hell character sheet his player designed him with, because I am decently sure the player made arrangements with at least one other player and the GM to buy his way into breaking a rule or two and skirting as many edge cases as he could. Seriously, what even.

Betrayal. The first time it really cost him, but he survived. The second time, it really pays off.

I am curious to see if Hitch is going to have Ivar come to Normandy once he's through with England.

I was going to say Tess doesn't quite get away with everything, but I'm hard pressed to think of something she actually had to pay for.

Being a mostly lightsided Sith? :-D? Seriously, she should have been caught so MANY times.

Enjolras should not be nearly as photogenic as he is in a lot of situations, and also the light should not glint in nearly such a symbolic halo off his hair by strict laws of physics.

Less frivolously, gosh it would've been nice if the Amis had gotten away with that revolution, either in the sense of success or in the sense of having a lower body count like the actual historical barricades of June 1832. (Not nonexistent, but... lower.) But history ruled out the former, and Victor Hugo wanted a grand symbolic gesture, so Enjolras is Revolutionary Divine Justice Hotness Incarnate and also extremely dead.

Thor, ha. Thor is a charismatic likeable prince and the apple of his father's eye, and a pretty solid match for his society's standards of respected masculinity! Thor gets away with a lot, and most of the time doesn't even notice.

Doctor Dinosaur gets away with all his plans! Just ask him, and he'll tell you at weirdly shouty length all about it!!

Emcee used to get away with making fun of the government until he didn't.

Pam can get away with dressing like she does because she's Pam. Also, she gets to boop Eric on the nose and throw clothes at his face and tell him when she thinks his plans are stupid.

Floki gets away with treating Athelstan like crap until he doesn't.
