What would your character as a child--say, age 10--think about what's going on with your character nowadays? What would your character five years ago think if they could look ahead to the present?

Sahaal at ten years old would be impressed that he survived for four centuries in his universe, and be a little envious of the conditions in Milliways.

Sahaal five years ago was in a coma on an abandoned space ship. He'd probably be completely disbelieving of both the events on Equixus and the Bar, and think that he was just having a crazy dream.

Ten year old Tess would be impressed and a little amazed at what's going on. Tess five years ago saw it all coming.

Ten year old Kylo might have some apprehensions about what's happened. Kylo five years ago would be satisfied with the progress made.

Sikozu isn't even ten years old yet.

Ten year old Rose would be scared and upset about what's happened. Rose five years ago was still in Siamare and would be happy she's out, but not at the cost.

All of mine stare at their future selves in mute horror and fear.

...Okay, Alistair's not really afraid, and he's kind of relieved that he made it out of the Chantry, but WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE'S KING NOW, WHAT, WHAT, oh maker hold me

Ten-year-old Emcee would probably be traumatized by what's happened to his adult self.

Emcee five years ago would end up disregarding everything anyway, deluding himself into thinking he can change things.

10 year old Hank would be scared of present, furry Hank (although secretly happy to see he can live that way). 5 years ago Hank would be horrified his secret is out so blatantly.

10 year old and 5 years ago Ahsoka are pretty close to the same time line, so I'll just say she's happy to have been chosen a padawan!

10 year old Sabine is confused and upset that she turns traitor. Again, same with 5 years ago.

10 year old Touji would think it's awesome to have an oni bonded to himself. Again, same with 5 years ago.

Wee Selina would think she's pretty damned awesome, although worried about where her mom is.

How did I end up with so many teens?

10 year old Danny is pretty pleased with 25 year old Danny. What 10 year old wouldn't be pleased as punch to have such awesome martial arts skills? 5 years ago Danny might be a little horrified he walked away from guarding K'un Lun.

Ten-year-old Feuilly obviously wouldn't be happy about the whole Being Dead thing, but he honestly might be mildly impressed that he made it that long! And he would definitely be impressed with the person he became: knowledgeable, respected at a decent trade (in Paris, too!), respected by friends who come from many different classes. Five-years-ago Feuilly would be SO MAD to find out about how things went in 1830, let alone 1832.

Ten-year-old Lesgle would be super confused. Why is he bald. Why is he dead on a barricade. Why was he a semi-homeless couch-surfer with wacky Paris friends. Is that...fun? Adulthood is so weird. Five-years-ago Lesgle--same as Feuilly.

...I feel like ten-year-old Loki would be baffled and a little horrified. Like yes, cool, awesome magic-user guy who can totally kill people a lot, but Why Does He Hate Thor. And also WHAT THE FUCK MOM AND DAD, I'M AN ADOPTED FROST GIANT. Then ten-year-old Loki would demand some really important explanations and honestly Asgardian history would probably turn out a little better. Five-years-ago Loki would also be a little horrified, but more in a "well THAT could have gone better" way. He'd take notes on how to do it better this time around. And he probably wouldn't tell his family he knew about the adoption.

Eriond at (physical) age 10 and five years ago basically agree that well, it's good everything turned out all right, with some real regret for the people lost along the way.

Evelyn at 10 and five years ago also basically agree, both on how humbling it is that she's trusted and considered skilled enough to help teach one of the younger ones, and relieved and terrified that she survived her Harrowing intact, and utterly terrified and horrified over Jordan being made Tranquil (which, tbh, is basically her reaction in the present).

Lois is thirteen, so let's just stick with her 10-year-old self's reaction: "Ooooh, you learned poker? And taught your friends? Niiiiice. . . . But why'd you get in trouble for it, come on, there's nothing wrong with that. Useful life skill!"

R2 is half N/A, as I don't really know when he was 10 (whether in base two or base ten). Five years ago, well, he would just be wearily resigned about the war. Meatbags.

Anakin at ten would be pretty pleased to be a full knight, horrified by the war, utterly sickened and terrified by what happened on Tatooine with the Tusken Raiders, confused by the idea that he would have a padawan of his own (he can't even begin to comprehend that), and so utterly dizzy with delight over the knowledge of his marriage to Padme he would have no words. Five years ago, well, the first three parts are basically the same. Instead of confusion about having a padawan, however, it would be irritation because he doesn't want a padawan, he wants to be cut loose and free to act as he pleases needs to. And besides the dizzy pleasure also a bit of smug, because he'd be a teenager and yeah.

Tavi of five years ago would be grimly unsurprised about the Vord, if shocked about the alliance with the Canim and truce with Icemen, and just exhausted with relief that it's over and they survived. (. . . that part is true of present-Tavi, too.) He would also be shocked and delighted and slightly smug that his furycrafting finally came in and is amazing; he honestly had never expected that from his future. He would also be shyly daunted but pleased by being married to Kitai--and definitely scared in an oh furies that's actually my life help what do about being a father (sure, he vaguely expected it some day, but that soon? aaaaaaaaah). And, well. Somewhat almost-unsurprised, somewhat very surprised, a lot terrified, a bit excited, partly devastated, somewhat incredibly proud, very uncertain, and absolutely determined about being First Lord. (Again: not entirely unlike close to present Tavi).

At ten, well. He'd be giggly-smug about his furycrafting--hah, take that, Bittan, he's the best--and basically terrified and baffled by the rest of it, almost especially most of all Kitai, because what the crows do you mean he's married to a Marat girl and they have a kid what no no no no no no can he never think about that again. And... well. Sure, he didn't know his dad and what kid doesn't vaguely fantasize his unknown parent is royalty? But First Lord? Him? That's actually even more daunting than the whole Marat thing. But, despite the terror and admitted kind of excitement (seriously he's the best that's awesome), and the how do I even get there none of this makes sense, same determination. Always. Slightly unreasonably so.

Ten-year-old Baze would be very disappointed at the years' worth of disbelief in the Force, and that it hurt Chirrut so. Bebe Baze would also be confused that his adult self chose guns over staves, and horrified at the Empire desecrating Jedha and destroying the temple. He'd be glad that he and Chirrut finally found peace in Milliways.

Five years ago Baze would be grimly satisfied at what they accomplished before they died, and pleased with Milliways, too.

Ten-year-old Chirrut would think you all are crazy because none of this could happen, the Republic isn't going to just fall apart and no one can get rid of all the Jedi, trust him, he's met one, THEY'RE SCARY.

Five-years-ago Chirrut is... conflicted. Because he is pleased at what they accomplished, and VERY pleased about Milliways... But he abandoned NiJedha. And the kyber. That wasn't supposed to happen. The Empire was supposed to finally tire of them, and leave. Just... leave.

Abe no Seimei's ten-year-old self could never be convinced to believe that his modern-day self is, well, himself. He'd think it was some kind of trick. As for Seimei five years ago...well, he's not much different from himself today.

YT is only seventeen, so her ten-year-old and twelve-year-old selves would have similar views of her present self. They'd be like "Damn, Future Me is awesome."
