Tuesday DE: Grooming
What do your charries regularly do about their hair / beard / clothes / shoes / general neatness of appearance?
I have recently found that this is the main visual distinction between my two Mads!faces, Hannibal and Galen.

Sinric is meticulous about his looks, almost tidy and well groomed. Even when he looks wild and shaggy, it's a carefully artifice. Unless he's been out in the world for a while. And when he has been, he usually goes straight upstairs to get clean pretty soon after arriving.
Bodhi's use to keeping clean as best he can, with minimum of fuss and time. And with as little water as possible. He likes a long water fresher but he still feels guilty about it.

Unless he's not, for reasons of pretending to be someone else. But in general, even when he's in casual wear, he's neat and on point. If his hair's not gelled, it'll be an artful mess. You will not see him with an untucked shirt unless there's a reason he wants you to, and his stubble is precisely the length he desires it to be. His cologne is always good. His shoes are always shiny.
(Unless they're trainers, in which case they're always clean. But you get the idea.)

X showers on a regular basis. She dresses mostly in black, soft clothing that is well-fitted that gives her a lot of room for movement and that can take a beating. She has a few fancier outfits, but those are for specific occasions and/or for disguise. So are her jeans and button-downs. And sandals. She doesn't wear make-up unless it's for a job, or if children want to paint her face while she is babysitting. Same for fingernail and toenail polish. And fancy hair.
Diana just wakes up like that.
Nynaeve keeps her hair pinned-up these days, since her braid got fried off. She likes to dress well, fine fabrics, fancy cuts -- things that make her feel pretty, and usually in colors her husband likes, because she likes the way that makes her feel, too. She's getting used to daring decolletage. She doesn't really do much make-up, though she may pinch her cheeks to give them temporary color. She likes jewelry.
Thrawn is always neat as a pin. His bed probably has the Chiss equivalent of hospital corners. His sense of casual style involves a lot of stark black or stark white. Color happens to other people.
Flemeth also just wakes up like that. Unless she's playing the old woman in the swamp, in which case she deliberately tromps through a lot of mud and works up a sweat. For verisimilitude.
Sombra adores dynamic and bold make-up, she wears colored contacts to coordinate with her outfits, she loves brightly colored and well-tailored clothes, and her nail and hair-color game is on point. If it's about appearance, and catching the eye of random strangers, she is all about it. Her skin and hair-care regime is fancy and amazing. (This is partly due to growing up an orphan on the street. Now that she has the money for fancy things she is going to use it to the max.)

Other than that, he doesn't care. He wears whatever's cheap at the department store, and wears whatever glasses his insurance will cover, which are also usually pretty cheap. Getting him into something nice is like pulling teeth.

Ganymede's main priorities are cleanliness and fabric. He hates things that are itchy or otherwise uncomfortable, and at this point if you want him to wear something specific, unless it's the Slave Leia bikini, he'll probably be okay with that.
