tired tuesday
Your character has hit their physical limit. They have already collapsed or needed medical attention--whether from exhaustion, injury, whatever the cause.
Do they let themselves recuperate in a reasonable fashion? Do they push themselves too hard through that into a worse state? How do they recover from that low?

*looks at most recent canon for X*
Uh. She pushes until the task is finished or she dies. Literally. Uh.

And as soon as he's mentally up and running, he'll be a sodding nightmare, especially if his physical recovery doesn't keep pace and he's forced to stay in one place for a bit. God, he'd just be the worst patient, I can't even.

From experience? He'll get better because Baze is sitting on him.

Sabine will keep going as long as the present mission requires. She knows the tactical value of taking care of yourself though, and so will rest or medicate as the opportunity presents itself. I think she'd be a good patient, using the time to draw or sketch, until she perceives that she's needed.
Selina will go as long as is needed to get someplace safe and then hole up to take care of herself.

That said, she can be poofed or unfused, and she will take her time regenerating/sorting through what caused the problem in in a reasonable fashion.
Brienne: let herself recuperate if there's time and nothing is happening around her. But if there's someone who needs her help or some question of honor involved, she will push herself and damn the consequences. And then recover later, unless her injury is fatal.
Fantine: let herself recuperate if she's at all able, though canon put her in a situation where she didn't have the resources to and had to keep pushing herself to the point of fatal illness for her daughter's sake. But that doesn't represent her preferred course, which would be to rest and recover.
Combeferre: tries to keep pushing himself. There are books to read, experiments to conduct, patients to treat, governments to overthrow. He will eventually realize he's being silly, especially if it's pointed out to him by someone else or if he makes himself worse. But his first inclination will always be to push himself.
Jehan Prouvaire: He might try to push himself if some tempting experience presented itself, but on the whole, he behaves sensibly and lets himself recover.

When he was at the temple--and now, at Milliways--he lets himself relax. After all, Chirrut needs him, and he can't collapse in a heap and leave Chirrut by himself to haul Baze up to their rooms.

Sherlock will push himself to the point of collapse on a regular basis. In Millicanon, at least, he loves being coddled when he has reached the point of collapse.

If it's because he's in the Art Zone and forgot to eat... he's going until he's done or passes out... oops.

Pam has been tortured with silver and starved and sleep-deprived, but she handled it like a fucking champ. So I would say that she wouldn't push herself unless it was necessary. She's way too lazy for that. She's a vampire so physically recovering is mostly (usually) easy, and mentally she's hardcore.
If Floki is injured in battle he will still fight like hell. However, he's a terrible patient. And I just had a very pleasant flashback to the time Athelstan-mun and I brought an injured and cranky Floki into Milliways in a wheelchair because it had to be done. Good times.
Cassidy is a precious cinnamon roll who needs kisses and attention and alcohol when he's injured. Like, that pic is the best summary of him when his insides have been torn out or he's been stabbed through the neck or something. Oh, right, and also blood, lots of blood, preferably heated and in a cup, thank you.
