Thursday DE: random encounters

Ever wanted to throw a pup into an adventure in the Labyrinth or the Library or the woods, but haven't been sure what to have them do? Let's generate a bunch of possible random encounters/quests/puzzles for people to run into!



...alternative DE that I provide because AU week just keeps making me giggle like a twelve-year-old about it, there's always the good ol' classic NSFW meme about what your character would or would not do with a clone of themself.

To start off the random encounters:

- Suddenly you are faced with two identical copies of one of your dearest friends, locked in mortal combat. Each claims that the other is an evil version and must be killed. Sort it out.

- Sphynxes! Asking riddles!

- You find yourself in the midst of a sumptuous feast full of strange and fanciful creatures. At midnight, they all turn to twigs and beetles and dead leaves.

- You emerge from the woods/labyrinth/library, after encountering a strange fountain or garden or other such thing, unable to speak the truth (or unable to lie) for the next three days.

I blame mainlining the Codex Alera series for the past few months for this...

-Suddenly, vord. They would seriously need to be contained in the labyrinth unless we wanted another apocalypse.

Then again stumbling across a nest of xenomorphs or brood could be just as bad.

Ehren voice: Of course. I am not holding the realm together and so am able to act much faster. Plus I knew you'd suggest the insanity and so I thought I'd see what it was like.

I am terrible at thinking up random encounters, so I really appreciate all the suggestions on this thread!

...And Steven is too young for the other question. (But he'd form a band with his clones!)
