Over here in the US, we have a long weekend coming up! What would your character do with that extra day, maybe two off--not enough for a full vacation, but just enough to maybe do something other than their life? I know plenty of ours don't actually get those, because we give them terrible lives. But hypothetically!
And for anyone and everyone, do you have exciting weekend plans, whether short or not?
And if anyone is going to Dragon*Con, send me a ping, ya? :)

Ahsoka: I feel like she'd explore the Jedi Temple or the nearby city area, if on Coruscant. If she's on another planet, I think she'd still go explore; looking to experience people living and maybe looking for parks or the like to connect with the planet's nature.
Sabine: As cheesy as it sounds, I think she'd chill at an outdoor cantina and sketch.
More later once I wake up...maybe.

Sam Wilson goes to a concert or dance club, bonus points if he can find a music festival.
Hank...I feel like he'd catch up on reading scientific journals. If that was barred him, I'd say he'd hit a museum, or hunt down some record stores for some browsing. Older Hank, he'd go out for some plays, especially if he can find a Shakespeare production.
Izana would make the climb to one of the shrines about Sidonia or see if they can get into the ocean section for another tour. Baring that, just wandering the residential or business districts.
Selina doesn't work, per se, but I'll define her life as hunter gatherer and so assume she has enough resources for a few days downtime. I think she'd sneak into some movies, maybe a concert or dance performance.
Danny...race things on wheel; cars, donkey carts, whatever.
ETA: And for myself, I'd either spend the whole weekend in my jammies and eat nothing but take out and ice cream while bing watching Netflix, or bribe one of my friends to host a three day table top RPG.

Post-temple fall, he didn't take a lot of recovery time from injuries and illnesses, much less vacation time. He wouldn't know what to do with himself. He'd probably try cooking something.
Now, all he has is idle time. He brews beer and spars with Chirrut and reads and reads and reads.

Though, I can see Steve attending Labor Day parades or charity functions -- he could fry burgers at a veterans barbecue, for instance -- and calling it time well spent. For Sherlock, bank holidays would just be an inconvenience when things are closed when he needs them to be open.

Cassian avoids having downtime and so if he's not on a mission, he'll be planning the next one, helping to repair ships, mending or fixing up supplies, sparring, cooking, analyzing intel, pretty much anything to keep from having time to think. Some of it he enjoys more than others like cooking for the base and things that involving creating and all of it can be adjusted for the amount of time. If he has an extra day when traveling, he'd go to a cantina and just sit and drink, though he'd probably end up working by talking to people and picking up information.
Quentin is a hard working but also lazy teenage boy. If he doesn't have something to do, he'll probably be sleeping, eating or playing video games.
Sameth's work is what was his hobby before so if other things like politics and state duties are set, he can be found in his workshop or sleeping.
William doesn't get a lot of time when there's not something to do but he always has a book with him in case he finds some.
Will S. now has more time than he used to and spends it sparring, helping with various things around the castle and being with his friends.
Charles is someone who enjoys work but healing and adjusting to his injury has meant that he's had more downtime than he's used to and not the same access to what he used to enjoy. Raven and Erik aren't around to spend time with so he does a lot of reading of books and scientific journals, too much drinking and listening to the radio or watching tv. He also finds it restful to be listening to other's minds, be around people who are content.
Ivan if he had an extra day would try and have a date with his current girl involving good food and drink.
Moist is all about leisure time and on an extra day between jobs would find a nice place to stay then drink and eat well maybe even some flirting.
Demeter decides her own time so really not much difference between working and not, which would mean cooking, drinking and spending time with Kore and neighbors.
Tumnus would do some baking, maybe go on a picnic or something with Lucy if she has the time.

Evelyn would take a long bath, read a good non-fiction book and also a fiction book (she's a fan of Varric's, btw), eat well, sleep well, and if friends are around, maybe play Wicked Grace with them. (Whether drunk or not.)
Lois would kind of like a long weekend to be either a) not part of a move, b) to a super awesome fun place, whether with her dad in attendance or not, where by 'fun' we mean 'accidental adventures,' or c) maybe, like, quiet and stable at home for once?
R2 doesn't do long weekends as such, but generally being able to power down more, maybe just go on leisure flights with his local Skywalker Boy without being shot at, snipe at 3P0, and pretty much just enjoy his family without, like, death and destruction.
Anakin just wants a few days with Padme, preferably at Varykino on Naboo where they were married, so they can just
have lots of sexgoof off and relax, though Coruscant will do as long as she's not working toooo much. If he can't get that, meh, a few days of tinkering and flying (both with R2 along, probably) and training Ahsoka and probably ending up in a bantering argument with Obi-wan without being interrupted by actual fire fights or something will do.Tavi currently would definitely want to go visit his family in Calderon. When they're far enough away that going there is more than an easy day's journey, probably 'long weekend' for him means lots of family time, riding with Kitai, teaching baby(/babies?) furycrafting, reading, maybe playing about with some engineering or research if he's bored, and oh yeah, going down to the archaeological dig at Appia and puttering around happily. Probably some combination of these. Alternatively, 'long weekend' might mean that the family came from Calderon to Appia so sure he only gets a long weekend with them while they have like a full week away, but it counts. In which case, mostly lots of family time. (Though sometimes I'm pretty sure 'long weekend' is just him and Kitai needing a break and going off on mini-adventures in the wilderness somewhere. For fun.)
As for me? In case you didn't notice: DRAGON*COOOOOOOOOOOON
Costuming needs so much planning. And I didn't even intend to and then OH GOD THE GUESTS HALP NUUUU I NEED COSTUMES AND NOW NEED TO PLAN QUICK CHANGES Y DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF

Just, you know, not Anakin.
Will probably have braids in like his daughter if I can manage it. :D
One day I will have an Aleran outfit. Probably Kitai. I am willing to cope with a wig for that.

Cassidy is of the same mindset, to just go and do something fun and spontaneous. Like going bungee jumping or figuring out how to go to a topless beach in the daytime or something.
Pam would go shopping. The answer is always shopping.
Floki would spend time with Helga.

I love this idea and wish I had the head space to make it happen now. I will have to use it as a basis for an EP before I start canon as he shows driving skills he'd have no reasonable means to have gained in canon.
Plus Cassidey and Selina need to meet.

Oh and I need to remember, Cassian picked up one of Bernard's books with the dirty typo in the title for Emcee and hasn't had a chance to give it to him yet.

Would Quentin be able to tell that Cassidy is a vampire?
no subject
I'm not sure. Fae magic is based around blood so if there was something in Cassidy's blood for Quentin to notice, he would wonder. It all comes down to if there's a scent of anything magical or odd around Cassidy, if not, then no.
Vampires aren't an actual thing in his world though he's met some in Milliways, but couldn't tell. I think when we threaded Pam and Quentin, his blood smelled good to her but he didn't know what she was until she told him.

Quentin enjoys laughing and sighing at how Fae are meant to work in people's minds, they can have a good time. Maybe I'll put up that EP tonight since this is just giving me ideas. And put the EP up.
