Tuesday DE

Over here in the US, we have a long weekend coming up! What would your character do with that extra day, maybe two off--not enough for a full vacation, but just enough to maybe do something other than their life? I know plenty of ours don't actually get those, because we give them terrible lives. But hypothetically!

And for anyone and everyone, do you have exciting weekend plans, whether short or not?

And if anyone is going to Dragon*Con, send me a ping, ya? :)

Mine are a mix of like having time off and wouldn't know what to do with it. For myself, I always make plans to go and do something like a museum but usually end up sleeping in late, going for a walk and reading.

Cassian avoids having downtime and so if he's not on a mission, he'll be planning the next one, helping to repair ships, mending or fixing up supplies, sparring, cooking, analyzing intel, pretty much anything to keep from having time to think. Some of it he enjoys more than others like cooking for the base and things that involving creating and all of it can be adjusted for the amount of time. If he has an extra day when traveling, he'd go to a cantina and just sit and drink, though he'd probably end up working by talking to people and picking up information.

Quentin is a hard working but also lazy teenage boy. If he doesn't have something to do, he'll probably be sleeping, eating or playing video games.

Sameth's work is what was his hobby before so if other things like politics and state duties are set, he can be found in his workshop or sleeping.

William doesn't get a lot of time when there's not something to do but he always has a book with him in case he finds some.

Will S. now has more time than he used to and spends it sparring, helping with various things around the castle and being with his friends.

Charles is someone who enjoys work but healing and adjusting to his injury has meant that he's had more downtime than he's used to and not the same access to what he used to enjoy. Raven and Erik aren't around to spend time with so he does a lot of reading of books and scientific journals, too much drinking and listening to the radio or watching tv. He also finds it restful to be listening to other's minds, be around people who are content.

Ivan if he had an extra day would try and have a date with his current girl involving good food and drink.

Moist is all about leisure time and on an extra day between jobs would find a nice place to stay then drink and eat well maybe even some flirting.

Demeter decides her own time so really not much difference between working and not, which would mean cooking, drinking and spending time with Kore and neighbors.

Tumnus would do some baking, maybe go on a picnic or something with Lucy if she has the time.

Quentin and Cassidy and video games and endless snacks.

That would be fun. Quentin is nocturnal too, their schedules might match up. I should put him in sometime with a video game.

Oh and I need to remember, Cassian picked up one of Bernard's books with the dirty typo in the title for Emcee and hasn't had a chance to give it to him yet.

I saw that thread! Aww, Emcee will be inordinately delighted. He's being a recluse lately, but he'll be back for Jay's birthday party soon.

Would Quentin be able to tell that Cassidy is a vampire?

I saw that, poor guy. Cassian will be happy to make him smile as Emcee's one of those people that makes him feel not as messed up.

I'm not sure. Fae magic is based around blood so if there was something in Cassidy's blood for Quentin to notice, he would wonder. It all comes down to if there's a scent of anything magical or odd around Cassidy, if not, then no.

Vampires aren't an actual thing in his world though he's met some in Milliways, but couldn't tell. I think when we threaded Pam and Quentin, his blood smelled good to her but he didn't know what she was until she told him.

Pretty sure there's nothing magical or distinctive about Cassidy's blood, not like the True Blood vampires. Preacher canon is kind of vague on vampirism on a lot of points, then when it does address something, it just raises more questions. Also, TV Cassidy doesn't align exactly with the comics, and I still keep wondering what abilities/characteristics they're going to include or leave out. But yeah, definitely no magical aura. He'd laugh at that.

I've noticed that. I keep hoping with the Denis storyline that we'll actually get details on how stuff works but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Quentin enjoys laughing and sighing at how Fae are meant to work in people's minds, they can have a good time. Maybe I'll put up that EP tonight since this is just giving me ideas. And put the EP up.
