Friday DE: Casting call

At the risk of enabling, what are some characters you'd love to have as NPCs to do OOM with? Think of this as a chance to put out a casting call for the pup from your canon that you really wish you had to thread with. I'm thinking of this as more outside of Milliways (OOM for those who've wondered about the anacronym), canon write up help, rather than getting a canonmate. But you never know. 

Alternately, are there any characters you have journals for that have their canon represented in bar and you'd love to help out? I know I've a few that sit as I know their voice is fun but not long term.

Oh, neat question! I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that I need, but I like playing NPCs.

When Wilford was randomly given a brother with no warning whatsoever (his canon in a nutshell), I really waffled on whether or not to ignore that part. Ultimately, the idea of Wilford having an even weirder brother, who was obsessed with watermelons, won out and I created an NPC account for Walter.

And Tom Fischbach also being something of a public figure made iconning a bit easier, since I had my PB handed to me on a plate. The only drama there was getting his hair pink.

I'd love a Lex, Zod and/or Davis Bloome for Tess.

Kylo has enough canon mates.

Rose doesn't really have anyone.

Sikozu, first I need to get the comics so I can see what canon she still has.

Would love to have some present day DCU types for Swamp Thing to interact with.

I would love a Zeb to bounce Sabine off and develop their brother/sister relationship we see in the show. And I think he'd be fun to play. I mean big fuzzy, tough guy with a heart of gold who loves bashing in Stormtroopers? He's kind of like a wookie who speaks basic. What's not to love?

When I get to canon, I'd love a Coleen Wing for Danny to interact with. I'd likely fade for anything romantic, but flirting and building trust I woudl be so down for. (I would also be open to going slightly AU of canon and have Danny be more respectful of Coleen's space and independence. Danny needs to be clueless, but that doesn't have to be as problematic as canon showed.)

And for Selina, I'd love a wee Bruce to grump and roll her eyes at.

As for other pups I can offer...
If anyone wants a Leia, she's been sitting there since I read Bloodline. At this point she seems post-OT, but I'd be willing to try a younger Leia if you'd like.

I also have a post-PT and post-OT Obi-wan floating around.

Ooh, I loved that one thread with Leia we did in the sandbox. As we get more into Rebels' timeline stuff, I'd love to do some younger her and Cassian, maybe nothing major but a brief interaction or something. Also your Obi-Wan was great, I'd love more of him someday.

I could see that happening and being really interesting. We should plot more. Also its odd, I always get a kind of needle scratch at seeing his name shortened that way. Nicknames and name are strange.

Sorry. I usually only do it when I'm on a virtual keyboard but I can take the effort for the extra letters. I do know what you mean though. I tend to think Cass is Batgirl and no one else.

No worries, I've taught my phone how to spell Cassian, it now offers it to me. Yes, I think of her or Millimun Cass.

Ha, I was typing to Ama in Discord, and she was like, "Why is Cassian-mun typing?" So it's a common issue.

Names and handles are weird and fascinating. Ages ago when I was in grad school, I wrote a paper on Milliways and talked about how most people know me by a variation on my screen name versus my real name. So now I answer to Fi in person because that's what millimuns call me but some of them also call me Kate. This inspired me to add names and nicknames as a DE question since there's so much in there.

Any of the PTs would be great, really, but especially Futaba. Otherwise my top picks other than trying to enable Quinn into an Akira are... someone who hasn't shown up in my OOMs yet, and a background character who's the only other major character at Yusuke's high school.

Maru and I both love a bit of in-character drama and have talked about RPing out different ideas as non-canon OOM. Mostly revolving around the characters who, in canon and millicanon, could really complicate things. Mostly Krennic, Lyra, and Jyn.

On that thought, I had a rather odd dream the other night that involved Sherlock introducing Sinric to John. I should just write it anyway, if only to get it out of my head.

Having someone to thread out Draven or any of the other as I think of them leaders/adults of the Rebellion would be fascinating. Or someone like Kallus though he'd be great to have in Bar.

In terms of my others, really anyone from the Toby Daye canon as so much of what works for the books is the interaction. We've had them but I don't know who's still around.

Oh and sorry that Quentin's being kind of quiet around Bodhi, he's hard to predict at times.

Although I would like to point out what I had in mind would be pre-Rebels by a few years. I'm talking very early days where Ahsoka is helping to form Rebel Intelligence.

Khem Val is the only one who's been introduced so far in Milliways, but she'll be picking up Andronikos Revel, angry former space pirate, on Tattooine.
