Monday DE: Living with you ain't...
A great suggestion from
i_am_your_host :
Does your pup live with someone or by themselves? What do they prefer? What kind of roommate are they? If they live alone, what would they probably be like as a roommate?

What sort of roommate is Jim? Uhhhh...surprisingly okay, I think? It probably helps that he's sharing space with someone who does not have conventional ideas of how things should be either. Jim doesn't sleep a great deal and keeps erratic hours, but he's tidy (or at least, will vacate the suite for a couple of hours every day so other people can come clean it). He's also mindful of another genius - if Sherlock is obviously deep in thought, he won't disturb him, just as he would expect not to be disturbed. He might go mental if they were in cramped quarters, but they've got space to spread out and work, or be alone, or be together, so he can deal and not be too much of a nightmare. Probably. Most of the time. He has his moments, and walls get drawn on quite often, and he might leave bits of computers and bombs lying about at times, but he's definitely not as bad as he could be for someone who is more than a bit unbalanced.

Quentin lives with Toby, May, Jazz, the two cats and Spike with Raj visiting a lot. He's learned how to be a better roommate. His space has always been neat but he's had to learn how to do housework and make coffee.
Sameth isn't the best roommate, his work goes all over the place and he keeps weird hours. I think he had roommates at Somersby but not since then though he's used to traveling and camping with people, he's better at that.
William shares a room with his brother and a small cabin with his mother, he's a good roommate used to helping everyone out as that era, everyone does their chores. He doesn't have a lot of stuff to get all over the place.
Charles, I think is an okay roommate but not the best as he's used to having a lot of space. He and Raven were roommates and from what was shown in canon, I think it didn't always work. After all he's a telepath and while that can be helpful, I could see it being annoying. He's incredibly privileged and used to having servants so I think he can do some housework but its not great at it.
Ivan's a decent roommate, he's spent most of his life serving in the Imperial service so tends to be neat. He likes having his own space when he can but he's not a bad roommate.
Will S. is a great roommate, he grew up in a small house and then spent his time in Sherwood with the men. I think he does better when there's space to be on your own but Sherwood provided that.
Moist is an okay roommate, I don't think he's shared space a lot and would rather not.
Demeter's a great roommate, she will bake for you and keep you healthy.
Tumnus, I think would be an okay roommate, he's mainly lived alone and I think has some odd habits but he'll make tea and bake.

Sabine is a great roommate if you don't mind her decorating everywhere. She lives on board a space ship with four other people, soon to be five, and is very happy to have her own room to escape to.
Sam seems to live alone but I can't imagine him being a bothersome roommate.
Selina lives alone and likes it that way...well, except she'd like to live with her mom again. I don't think she'd be too good a roommate to be honest.

Pam lives with Eric, but they're not very domestic anyway, so they lead almost completely separate lives and lifestyles, except not. She has her own bedroom, which is hers and hers alone. The rest of the house is a shared environment though I feel that she's done most of the decorating. Fortunately she appreciates Scandinavian design and simplicity, but absolutely will not allow Eric's animal pelts where she has to see them.
Floki lives with Helga, then later as part of Ragnar's entourage/extended family in the great hall. I don't think he would've minded being a hermit if he hadn't found Helga, as he spends a lot of time by himself working anyway. But Viking society requires constant group interaction, so I think even though he can adapt, he'd also like to have his own space.
Cassidy is a terrible roommate. Thing is, though, you won't notice it right away because he's so fun and affable and great to hang out with. He'll eat everything and not restock the fridge. He'll miss rent and bill payments. His room will be a mess of drugs and hookers, I mean really, but every time you say you'll kick him out he'll apologize and try to make it up to you and then you'll both go out for beers and it'll be another two weeks before his shit starts again. Terrible.

And he prefers them in his bedroom anyway, so there.

(And all told it's infinitely preferable to his previous living situation. For one thing, there are regular meals offered that are not contingent on how the provider of them feels that day. ...Of course, Yusuke's still likely to forget it's dinnertime, but.)
As a roommate, he's not terrible, if one can forgive inspiration striking at all hours and his near-total inability to budget.

Eden lives in a dorm with six other keybearers, but he has his own room there. He's not a terrible roommate, but then, he does have Chirithy basically reminding him to clean up and keep things tidy and so on.

On the other hand, he's pretty competent at housework and knows how to cook the food he likes to eat and cook it to a decent standard. Anyone living with him would have to get used to a lot of Italian food and desserts made with amasec.
